Hey everyone,
I'm in the process of completing a template for a character concept I have. Basically, Ranne Halorin is a wisecracking smuggler who has a wrix pet that he treats as his best friend (or will when I complete the template). Here's the template:
Master Smuggler
Teras Kasi Artist: 0404
Creature Handler 0044
This template leaves over 4 skill points which I don't have much use for, so I'll probably add Roll Shot for flare. My plan is to have a level 36 pet grouped with me to be my tank as well as to deal out a bit of damage. My main source of damage would be my pistol skills that I have from Smuggler. The reason why I went into Teras Kasi was because Ranne is not the type to wear armor, and he does practice martial arts/Teras Kasi in his spare time. I figure going the defense oriented route in Teras Kasi I could forgo conventional armor. I'm also looking to get some Clothing Attachments that added things like Unarmed Speed and Melee Defense just to make sure for lost points.
The actual pet I'm hoping would be able to use a Blind Attack, a Stun Attack, a Knockdown Attack, have some added health and defense, as well as added aggro.
My question is, how do you feel this build would stack up in PvE? PvP?
Thanks!
-Ranne

u will have some probs with this template. u only get a +30 innate armour with TKA 0404 - thats an armour rating of 3000. TKA innate armour is only worth at TK Master (+60 = 6000 armour rating => u get the last +20 only with master).
CH is also not that valuable as non Master. a CL36 pet even grouped (to be calculated as CL80) is not a good tanker - too low on health and not enough damage dealing to hold agro. a tanker should be a high level (CL65+) with enough ability slots for agression, vigorous health and thick skin. if u want just the special attacks a CL10 pet trained by a Master CH will do.

Ah, thanks for the response. Question for you. Would I be able to have my pet use those commands as a non-CH?

solo and group pve might work, u wont be uber but it sounds as if you want rollplay and have fun more then you care about being the baddest on the block. PvP.....1vs1 ull get rolled quickly, very quickly IMO...group pvp /shrug any little bit helps

Thanks a lot!
I might drop Creature Handler, and if I do then here was the template I was kicking around.
Master Teras Kasi
Master Smuggler
Pistoleer 4000
Medic 0010
I think that build would be more PvP - capable, though it doesn't stack. Again, it's a character concept type of thing. I could just have a level 10 pet around for PvE and RP purposes, I figure.

ya, with a lvl 10 bio pet, and some of the ham/def boosting abilities that can be trained to pets, u might be able to make an o.k. tank pet. im not that familiar with the ranged templates just by branches, so i cant give u much feed back on 4xxx pistols, but i do know that alot of peeps that dabble in pistoleer get xxx4 or some of that branch for the root that it has.
