Thread: Can I display my varactyl egg now without worrying about it being taken?

I remember there being a bug where anyone can tame a varactyl egg that is displayed. So I stored mine and now I'd like to know if this bug is squashed so I can display it. Anyone know?

I wouldn't risk it, personally. My extra egg is safely tucked away in the bank.

This is the Master Creature Handler Quest for a Level 65 Varactyl. In addition to being a Master CH, you must have gotten RotW through Digital Download.


You must go to the Rodian Camp on Kashyyyk and talk to some guy there (I can't remember his name) and he will tell you about Jagged Fang and send you out looking for her nest.


When you find Jagged Fang's nest (it's in a valley with a lot of Varactyls just up the canyon from the Rodian Camp) you have to kill her through combat (I made the mistake of Sampling her with my MBE/MCH/NS and had to wait for her to respawn ). You then search her nest to get a Varactyl Egg which you can then hatch into a baby Varactyl.

I took it with an alt during the respec period.

Well i bought the expansion so will the quest show up for me? Because I would really enjoy this one.

me and my friend just tested this and he was still able to hatch my egg that I placed on the floor in my house. He had one that he was going to hatch anyway so he just gave me that one after hatching mine.


when is this going to get fixed? I'd like to display my egg.
