hi CH's i havent been a CH in over a year.

In the Combat Upgrade, are CH's better then they were before?.. im master pike on that server and was going to drop that and have fun with MASTER CH, but im afraid it would be impossible to level up... i can currently respec to

a I-IV box in a NORMAL profession like (marksman,brawler)/ Master CH... would it be wise to do this? or keep pikeman and grind to CH? can anyone give me some tips lost here..

feel free to post info about pets in the new CU pros/cons thanks

Yes its quite effective in the new system, but remember this gone are the days where one elite can rule the roost. If you go up against a level 80 player you will be owned no matter what. The pets seem far more effective in pve and pvp. When your pet is higher then what it is killing it will hardly take any damage. If its not your a dead man. You will ofcoarse have to accept that pets are actually weapons now, and you will be reliant on them to do your damage for you.

Its hard to say about the grind seeing as today I got no xp period for anything. What I do think is if the system remains as is. You will probabally be better off grinding ch second. Simply because you can use babies to kill weak game and still get decent xp, but if the system changes to a level system it may be harder seeing that killing anything below your level will invariably result in 1 xp.

What I am doing and you may want to try this. If you have extra xp in say pistols use that xp to get pistoleer and two or three boxes. Instantly you now have more respec points to work with. Without haveing to regrind the xp. If you change your mind you still have more respec points. I gave up master marksman tonight and three boxes in rifles so that I could get novice carbineer and three boxes there. I had 900k just laying around un used. So I figured with two weeks or so to work with I might aswell convert those points into elite respec points.

I have to agree on the effectiveness part. The difference in actual combat versus the old system is stunning. Two of my pets tore apart two Frenzied Grauls without me firing a single shot from my rifle.

Yes alot of players are missing this with the hate system in play. Your pet can pretty much handle itself now. You can hang back and let it do its thing. If your more proactive you can apply states bleeds and so forth to aid your pet, or just use a weapon to do damage lower or equal to your pet, and the hate will not kick in.

I used a riverside sulpher mynock level 36 tonight to totally trash a level 20 mob its not hard to let your pets do the job.

Everything I experienced tonight tells me that nothing will be the same in a few weeks

It is way too early and pets vs combat will change, creatures and pets are still out of balance, our pet levels vs the conning system do not match up. one mission I took all grey conned using a lvl 44 pet fighting 3 creatures at once and I and the pet wiped the floor with em. another mission grey conned again for my level and using a lvl 31 pet fighting one creature resulted in death within 30 seconds for both me and my pet, messed around with a few more pets but am seeing the same thing.

Creatures on different planets even though they con the same color are not anywhere near the same in defense and offense. using pets just a few levels off from eachother seems to be a huge difference. this is quite unbalanced and people are getting too excited over some uber pets they have.

It will be changing soon, expect more balancing in the weeks to come. it may not be viable alone depending on your game style, but do not make judgements on what you want a template to be off of the results of the last 24 hrs.

I can accept a more percentage base, but god I hope it does not revert. Thats just silly all player classes need risks. I know I will be burned for this but I like the fact that people cannot just lay prone fifty meters off and pick off mobs with impunity. Just my take.

Don't worry I am sure it will be a percentage base, not even the devs want anyone completely safe heh, I didnt ask for numbers and won't considering the favor I got.

I trust that we shall still get our legs bit off occasionally lmao
