Thread: Another bug? Tamed pets not attacking their wild cousins..

I was messing around Rori with my tamed Leviasquall last night. I came across a squall lair and ordered my pet to attack one of the squalls. The "!" appeared above his head (and the target's head, if I remember right), but no combat ensued. Thinking my pet was bugged, I ordered him to attack a nearby NPC. He had no problem attacking the NPC. I didn't have time to attack a different wild creature, but had done so earlier in the day.

Are tamed pets refusing to attack their wild brethren? Anyone else experience this?

On test I did run into a bug kinda like this, it seemed to be level based tho. Wildanimals that were lower level would not attack stuff that was higher level, it totally sucked

The level difference is a possibility too.

My explanation is more fun though.

I too saw this problem on test prior to release and bugged it. It wasn't just between like species. Attack just stopped working all of the sudden and both pet and target would issue '!' but no actions followed. Logged off and it was gone when I returned. How this is on the short list of bugs. Vert?

I had the same exact problem last night when I had my screecher attack a lair of screechers with me. He seemed to respond by as far as I could tell he wasn't attacking anything. I was still disorientated from all the other changes so I wasn't sure I had done something wrong and so didn't think to /bug it. I will next time.
