Sorry, everyone, I forgot to add text. HaHa! Thanks to everyone that responded to my other post. Now, what is the best creature to get started with? I'm only a novice at the moment. Also, if it happens to be a BE creature, then can I buy one off of somebody? I'm on Tempest. Usually at night. Thanks.

a rock beetle from tatooine is an excellent starter pet.

has a ranged attack that is very nice for early experience as most pets at this early stage cannot tank for you. just let the beetle hit with his acid spit 1 time then recall it and you will get xp for the kill. they are lvl13 so u can use him after u get1 box of CH.

I picked up my first pet last night. A Zucca Boar.

Although i have not used him in combat yet, he is cute to look at. He is like a little puppy.

i found that the best pet to use is a BE Cat model..... they are hella fast and good ch xp..... they dont have to have uber dammage.... cause all they have to do is hit first and then you kill the animal the rest of the way to get ch xp....

I tamed a Grand Wrix baby for a Novice CH friend of mine...they're NON agressive, and get up to lvl 25(?), but as a baby, and for a few days, my friend can call/use him.

They're nice, fast and strong. No range attack, so I do plan on checking into the rock beetle for my friend.

A cupa is good also. They have a ranged attack and are fairly easy to find and replace. They are level 11 so you can tame on as a novice day 1. Also if you find a good sized or nicely colored one you like you can raise it and have it mounted for riding. I'm still carrying my first tamed cupa and like riding her through cities. Riding in cities is faster than running, more controlable than a speeder, and looks cool

Cu Pa with range attack and then a Rock Beetle with range attack. It allows for the one hit without much damage to the pet so you can still get xp. If you are fighting something much higher than your pet (something you can take down with little effort), then attack the mob, and then /tellpet your pet to attack while the pet is greater than 12m or so, and it should shoot and hit (watch the combat queue) then deliver a special to finish off the beast and you got your xp.

I would say it depends if you are buying a BE'd creature, or taming one. I haven't started up this path yet (2 more swordsman boxes to go before I'm moving to CH/Rifle) so I too am interested in any info people have about this. It seems to me that a BE'd pet would always be better then a non BE'd pet, but if you want to buy or don't have the money to buy one its not an option. I have a non CH pet that is lvl 9, has like 6k health, 3k action, and 3k mind, and no armoryet 59% kinetic resist who I love as a non CH, I can't wait to see what I can get asI move upCH.

Cupas are great cause you can ride them around the outskirts of a City, jump off, kill, kill, kill. Then jump back on and ride to the next group of prey ( if you have a master train it as a mount for you). But, if you are going to run missionsa cat is the way to go because they can keep up with your speeder. Both of these ways save time of having to run everywhere or wait at least 30 seconds to store after combat and then another 15 to pull the petback out hoping nothing agros you before it appears. Also, use the lowest level pets you can get away with to get more XP.
