Hi everyone,
just felt like posting this here. Not much sense in this post
but this day showed me how fun CH can be.
but this day showed me how fun CH can be.
Well, I mastered CH yesterday (yay!) and thought I'd go take a
look around Endor and grab me some Merek babies. Well off I go
and as soon as I hit Endor I use Areatrack to see whats around.
I scroll down the list of animals and oh WOW I don't believe my
eyes...at the bottom of the list "Prowling Gurreck (baby)". Well
damn, not even an hour of MCH and I already stumble across a Hard-
to-find pet. Good start
Well I start off real happy after taming
the little rascal to get myself some mereks. So after 2 hours my
datapad got a few more babes in it. Merek Assasin, Blood-Stained Merek
and Merek Cavern-Creeper. True, they arent really rare or good pets
but I kinda like Mereks
And on the lastMerek lair I even stumble upon
Toxic Merek Battlelord...one pet I personally always wanted to
have, hehe. Well with my datapad filled and a big grin on my face I start
my way back to the smuggler outpost, on the way finding another uncommon
creature, a mantrigue hunter. lol. Well everyones luck has to run out sometime
you must think now, eh? Well uess what, it did. The Mantrigues didn't take
it too well that I took their baby and after my mask scent dropped, of course without me
noticing it (was too busy taming
) I got raped by the parents. Of course
at about the same time my buffs ran out *clap*

But all in all this has been one great first day of being a Master CH.
Now I do have some questions for you other more experienced MCHs out there...
What exactly is the difference between Special Protection and Effectiveness "armor"
on animals?
What exactly is the difference between Special Protection and Effectiveness "armor"
on animals?
And what pet would be the best PvE Pet in your opinion or asking differently, what
stats are most important for PvE pets?
Well thx in advance for any helpful answers!!

Nice post, thanks!
Am CH 3-3-3-3 and until today have managed to resist the temptation of going to Geo caves to grind the remaining 4 boxes. Say after me: "I refuse to grind"...
Well that was off-topic, nice post though.

Armor is the just that. The amount of armor on a pet. Special Protection is different. If your pet has say a 59 in front of kinetic, then it has 59% resist to kinetice damage which is what most PvE creatures deal. So to answer your second question, find the highest kinetic resist you can find on a creature and go with that.
Hope this helps. Though I'm not sure that I'm answering your "armor" question the right way, because I'm not to sure if I'm reading itthe the way you intended.

kinetic resists on the prowling gurreck are 65% I believe, mine does well in PvE, also the Toxic BattleLord
has high kinetic resists and overall good special protection. Mine likes to eat up Tusken captains and an occasional Warlord...lol
