I have a lot of crafting professions in my little group. It is an unfortunate fact that some of the rare spawns have a higher percentage in a city than anywhere else. I AFK macro hand-sampling as a way of acquiring some of these rare resources. And don't even get me started on the whole stupidity of the resources system, the mind-numbing complexity of something that, in my opinion, shouldn't have been any more difficult than grabbing a rifle and running off to kill some poor innocent creatures with big brown eyes. But especially don't get me started on why, in the name of all that is holy, do so many people feel compelled to tell me what is the right or wrong way to play a game. 'Tis my own business how I play, or how I spend my own hard-earned money. So don't take this too personal, but remove your nose from my business, and just worry about how you play your game, and I'll worry about how I play mine.

I am currently CH 3/4/1/4. Yes, CH exp is a bit harder then some combat profs. I skimmed through some of the other posts, and I don't remember anyone asking you what kind of pet you were using. That is the first thing I would ask, the second would be "do you hunt with your guild alot?" My max pet lvl is 45.I use a lvl21 pet most of the time. Why? More exp per kill! If you attack a gnort with a rancor, you get 1 exp, but the reverse is true! I am in a new guild on Tatooine, and we hunt boring old lvl34 mountain squills, and my bio'd lvl21 klicknikwith 40 kinetic resist and 4-5kish HAM. Also, one I hit pet lvl40 I got a delirious merek avenger, has 45 kinetic resist and light armor. I waited until it was lvl8 (started at 4, day 2 was 8) and now it tanks just as well, so I keep both of them out and get slightly more exp per kill. I get 460per kill, and squills die fast when there are 10 of us, I just make sure to get my pets to attack all the mobs (they both have ranged attacks so this is very easy).

Since you are almost done this won't help you, but for any other new CH's that don't want to go out of their way to lvl, my advice is to find a higher lvl CH to get you a baby that is going to be higher then your max pet lvl when it is grown, but currently is usable by you. Perfect examples are the boar wolf from endor (50 kinetic resist, 9000HAM, lvl25) which start at lvl 2 and go up by 2 or 3 lvls per day and the klicknik defender on yavin 4 (40 kinetic resist, 9700HAM, lvl27 and has ranged attack).

Once you have done that, GROUP. If you solo, you will be getting 3000 or so weapons exp and 300 or so CH exp, so of COURSE it is going to seem hellishly slow. If you group, you may get less weapons exp, but you will get so much more CH exp. Spend the money on some pet stims too, pets make great tanks and if the mob dies when pet is incapped, no exp :/

Lastly, if you go the geo caves route (which I have not because it is boring and I would rather have fun with my guild even if it takes longer....I mean hey, the trip there is half the fun), use a weak pet with a ranged attack, that way it never gets close so no worries about it getting incapped

I started to play end of November 2003.

Started as a Scout, and since the beginning, I choose the CH path, even though I new this would be nerfed like some ppl say.

(I do not call this a nerf, but anyway, this is another problem.)

I just became a Master CH a month ago, so it took me about 6 month to complete. And I enjoyed every little minute of game I had.

I did not want to go through the fast grinding because this is something I hate.

I mastered Tailor faster than CH, just by macro-ing and crafting like hell...

I am not a Tailor anymore (but for other reasons; I like to craft but Tailor is the baddest of the crafting profession... no influence at all).

I see some people here mastering CH in a few days... nice. On my end, I can not do the same things for hours and hours. I hate this, when I do this, I find the game boring.

So, I did play always with fun, I have always fun, it took me 6 month to master CH but I always had fun.

Right, each one should play the game like you want. I really don't have any problem with whoever, I mean I don't even take care of this.

When I am online, I wanna have fun so all the things that could possibliy make me mad or angry, I avoid them (thus avoiding some people too yes )

So, last but not least: have fun for the Emperor's sake !
