No, not in a bad sense.
Here is my story:
So I decide, in my ever-growing boredom, to start up my search for rares again. A few months ago I found a prowling gurreck, and then about 2 months ago I got a thunegrassland guardianand a gaping spider queen on the same day but gave up shortly thereafter due to frustration in trying to find a GPS (I've still never seen ONE adult in the wild after hours/days/weeks of hunting). So on Friday I begin on Naboo...
...looking for the elusive the swamp stalker. Not the most rare, but still hard find out there. Solitary, dangerous, and tending to pop out in the most random spots. So I start south of Moenia and head N-S on my speederbike, slowly inching westward. After an hour and a half I reach one of the first spawn points listed on swgcreatures.com for them. Hmmm...well, I got impatient, to say the least...so I did a straight line for the west side of the map. Roamed around a bit, then hopped a shuttle to the far NE part of Naboo to circle Keren. I started heading to Keren, dropping by a friend's place where we took down some peko peko albatrossthe other night. Not 500m, there it was...a lone red dot...whoops, only a stupid hermit spider. Then another lone red dot pops up about 100m away...sure, enough, first swamp stalker sighting for me (not that I really tried before, heh). I hop off, kill it...then kill another...and another...and hope...and....shoot, another adult. *HACK* *SLASH* *THUD* = dead 4th adult. So on I go...weaving my way around the NE of Keren. We unfortunately have 2 player cities located VERY close to Keren city limits and one ofthe waypoints on swgcreatures.com was actually inside a city, so I circle around north of it...and lo and behind, another swamp stalker spawn! Hopped off, killed the adult. Nearby was a veermok lair, which concerned me...angry giant and sentry veermoks do not a nice taming make, should a baby spawn. Anyway, a second adult came out to play, killed it. Then a third, which agro'd the veermoks...uh,oh...well, killed it while it was preoccupied and /masked right away, no veermoks followed. Then it happened...BABY! Tamed it on the second try...a nice dark-grey color as a baby. Wow, only 2 1/2 hours have passed.
So I decide I need a new mount. "Wasteland cu pa", I grin to myself. So off to Tatooine. Arrive in Mos Entha and head north. I do the Beggar's Canyon run and sure enough, at the north end of the canyon is a wasteland cu pa spawn, 5 adults and a baby sitting right out there on the outskirts of a player town. My lucky day! Tamed on first try. "Wow, good luck", I thought. So I log out for the night, happy in my accomplishments.
Saturday I log in about noon. Get buffed and head to Yavin for my semi-weekly Black Sun hunt. Within 3 hours I had found9 spawns and gotten8 pieces of armor, including 2 helms, pants, boots, and a nice belt with ranged defense and bleeding defense skill mods. "Hey, my luck is holding out!" I think to myself, "Why not try another rare?" So I get buffed and head...
...on to Endor. Time for an arachne widow. I tried for a week straight to get any spawns of these back in February to no avail. Ride northeast from the research outpost and within 2 minutes I found a wild lair. Wiped it clean of spawns, no babies. Head south/southeast...another spawn...wiped clean, no babies. Good so far: had over 6K of insect meat already...Bad: it stunk for stats. Anyway, found a third and wiped it clean...no babies...grrr. Two hours had passed and I had used up almost a full pair of 36-use stim Bs to stave off arachne queen poisons stacked on me already. So on I go, daunted but not giving up. Fourth lair appears southeast of the outpost. First wave killed...tap lair...second wave begins, slaughter a widow and queen then BAM! BABY! WOOT! So I don my taming clothes (+15 each piece), /mask, and begin to walk over...adults all seemed to migrate away from the baby (did it need a diaper change? hehehe) I begin the taming process....fail...fail and agro...uh, oh, boar wolf nearby - I run the other way until agro fades.../mask and /tame...fail...fail and agro...fail....this repeated on and on...finally, after 14 tries and 6 agros...."You have tamed the creature"! Happy day! My luck still holding out, I head to the smuggler's outpost to begin a merek death's head search...find a lair with 2 adults and a cavern creeper...and....
....as I stopped 200+m away to drink some brandy (mind was gone and had removed helmet to regen what little was left) I was vaulted into the middle of the lair (stupid bike warp). Full agro, dead in 3 hits. Ah, well, it couldn't last...I cloned, got rebuffed, and did a half-hearted attempt to find more but only found 2 lairs with 1 death's head each and no baby. Grabbed a desert gurreck charger for fun (I like the name) and headed home.
A lucky weekend for me, to say the least. After such a string of poor luck and little success at findingrares, I felt a bit better about my chances. Spent a half hour chatting with a fellow who had a GPS out in Coronet about rare hunting for a bit. Plus that BH armor is gonna net me a nice chunk of change! It's the little things that keep us going sometimes.

Great story - I hope everyone has one of 'those weekends' occasionally. It breaks the monotany of destroying Bull Rancor Lairs and wandering Corellia/Tatooine/Naboo hopelessly looking for that rare spawn.
