i know it's been suggested many times, but i think either a cat, like a razor cat, or a bird , like a peko peko, would make an AWESOME mount

I agree. Make the birds that are large enough to hold people mountable. To make it a little more interesting. The creature can only go up to a certain distance. But the CH cannot dismonut the creature until it is on the ground. If the CH gets shot off the mount then it is cloning time as the fall kills us. Make it a 5% chance to train a flight creature into a mount.

And as usual no combat can be initiated until you have dismounted the creature.
