Thread: what CH/pet specials would you like added to make aid us in a PvP setting ?

Hello all, :-) this is my first post i ever opened lol. Anyways I tried to post this on the concept section so will post it here, and hopefully it will reach a Dev.with my ideas and yours :-) I think really the weakest area we have in PvP is healing multiple pets, since most professions have area effect attacks we should be able to counter this with either a pet area heal special ability, or a CH skill called area effect skill called something like "Heal Pet" have the skill only heal pets under our control, or if made a special attack , make it work on all pets in say a 30m radus in our group like the droid ability auto-repair, but more powerful since auto- repair is near useless due to it is sooo slow, it should probally heal the amount of double or triplethere attack damageat least , though i'd like to see the skill heal on par with instant stim pack Ds. I don't think pet stimpacks are even working anymore, and in either case, most people that are BE now are not pet focused now anyways, they are the profesion to make instant medical stim packs and other medical supplies for medic and up. Pets for the most part have been forgotten about by the average BE (not saying all BE, just the vast majority). I think this skill would also follow with the CH profesion because since in our profesion it is assumed we spend most of our time around pets, we learn them, we start to know what there thinking, and most likely have picked up some first aid abilities for the pets in our charge. As far as giving a pet a speacial skill for healing that follow suit also since most pets have heal ability of say a pest, why not modify it to also heal each other also. These both also follow what was said about our profession in the combat upgrade description under professional overviews, it said were the jack of all tradeable to fall in any role as long as we have the approprate pet to do the role(ranged/ melee damage specilist, tank, crowd control, DOT,and Healer is what is assumed from that, anything less then this would make that statement false). If someone's only profession was CH there sole ablilites is through there pets, a Ch him/her self has no mods for offense or defense, and intrusts there safty to the pets they command (choose wisely,...I have) when blended with another combat profession say BH were then listed as a lvl 80 as long as both in this example are master lvl, however as a CH were still solely a master BH if we don't have any pets out (as it should be, but frustrates me when i want to duel someone and they say "no pets" I want to tell them fine you cann't use your weapons or armor. (because that is what pets are to us, it would make it fair)...and To all the Devs who think were too powerful lol try taking on an elite lvl 80 MOB/NPC, or a player with pets only , no other weapons. If pets are to be our weapons they should be effective against that with just the pets alone to be on par, i can use a pistol and take out a lvl 80 elite MOB/NPC or player alone and so pets should be able to do the same. also a final note , it isn't pet offense that is hurting as much, as the pet def skills

Welcome to the CH forums.

Pet healing abilities could be nice but I think for 1v1 PvP what would end up happening is that your opponent would quickly realize that they needed to target you (which is what happens already to a certain extent). It does appear that the devs are considering giving more abilities to CH to modify their pets (like embolden and enrage). We'll see if that actually happens.

first off thanks for answering my post :-) you mentioned that they would quickly target the CH, for me that is a good thing, i can hold my own with a jedi as far as the tanking goes, i just lack the offense after the jedi takes out my pets to take down a jedi knight solo..i'm a master BH, master CH, pistoleer 0/0/4/4, enhanced reflexes 0/4/0/0 just FYI. i picked BH from the start because i knew that we as the handlers of the creatures are the weak link, so picked a tanking profession, to go with it, and pistoleer and enhanced reflexes for extra def. The pets however are my main weapon, my high cap scatter pistol is my secondary weapon. so to jedi out there please bring it on, as long as my pets live you have a slim chance to live through my attack.

lol i'm like exatly the same tmep as u an love huntign jedi with my pets personly i hope the jedi attacks me when they do they always loose i have found few jedi who attack my pets then i have hard time mopping it up my self but hey power to u and int and a pet root wpuld rock my world

What special would I like to see added?


I'd like my rancor's to breath fire. That'd be hella cool.


Or my Giant Peko could swoop down and grab my opponent and take him really high up, then drop them (preferably onto a pointy object.) And then... poop on them.

It would be nice to get some kind of special weapon when u hit MCH so we actually have a choice of weapons to use with our pets. (why is it nearly every other profession seems to get a special wepaon when they hit Master, expect us poor unloved CH's?)


Special attacks (WHEN they get fixed) to perhaps include a random poison/ paralize/ stun/ knockdown so it gives us a chance to whip those Jedi bottoms without them healing themselves constantly. mwahaha!


oh.. and the ability for our pets to RIP OFF the limbs from people they are attacking! LOL! Will save on feeding them as well.


or maybe frigging lazers coming out our pets eyes.

SWG in a nutshell

I'd like to see a "Bug fix" special which can target anything in the game, just point at the bugged object, send your pet in, and watch it pull out a laptop, smash in some code for a minute or 2, and POOF, it's fixed!
