I am trying to find good creatures to try to tame. Since I am a newb CH, it has to be level 12 or lower, as I understand it. I have a Cu Pa that is level 11. Wound like to find another creature to compliment him in strength. At least till I build up my skills. What are the hottest creatures to go for, especially for new CH?

At that level, there aren't many "Hot" pets. A BE pet will beat out any natural CL12 pet. The best way to advance quickly is to hit yard trash. Have you pet attack once, then blast it with a weapon to save the pet. I earned my first four boxes at a rate of one an hour that way.

That is about what I am doing.

Oh btw, I am looking for a Red Cu Pa. I am offering 10K credits to information that leads to the successful capture of this rare creature.

don't believe there is a "red cupa" i'm sure you got that form swgcreatures.com...anyone can post anything there and there have been some bogus new creatures as of late..the 4500 ham it has listed is that of a wasteland cupa, and is way too high for a lvl 11 wild..it's not lised in prima swg guildeeither...so i think is does not exist

ok.

I noticed some of the creatures were flawed, because some of the creatures it listed as something I should be able to tame, are in fact not.

I do read the stickies.

The problem is, the stickies are too broad. I want to know what people actually started with. I looked on the SWGcreatures site, and some of the pets they show, arent correct, and others that I am supposed to be able to train, I cant.

I have a Cu Pa right now. It was about my 3rd pet I trained. He is just too cool. It is hard to find a better one.

Slum rats, durni's, whomp rats.... none of them are good for anything but catch and release. I was looking for what you guys thought was actually a good useful starter pet, as I would like to have a second or 3rd I can use and rotate them out.

I have a Greater Sludge Panther, and a Crazed Gurrcat. I am not able to use them till later on, but it gives me something to look forward to.

Which pet is best at X/X/X/X level?

The answer is almost always a BE (BioEngineered) pet. With the exception of a few rares BE pets will always have much better resists, HAM, specials, and a much lower CL than anything in the wild of comparable power. Also unlike other combat profession where the type of gun you use can make a huge difference in combat. The pet skin has little to do with how strong a BE pet can be. They can make Durni that will pwn a Rancor.

Ok I get it BioEngineered pets are best, but what pets can I tame at X/X/X/X level?

www.swgcreatures.comhas all the information you seek.

When I try to tame a creature that I know is at or below my max CL it says you can not tame that creature. Am I bugged?

There is always the SLIGHT possibility that there is something wrong with your character, but more than likely its because the creature is agressive and your taming vicious creatures skill isnt high enough. Try buying some BE clothes with a +25 taming viciouscreature bonus or getting more of the 4/0/0/0 line.

My first tame was a chu pa as well and I ground out CH with it for awhile untill somone directed me to a BioEngineer.

As far as swgcreatures not being correct Ive had very little problem with this. In my expirence they have been 95% accurate for every creature I have looked up.

Xan just go to corellia. Corellia outside coronet has some of the best varieties of lower levelled yet decent stats creatures. It can be dangerous if you are not able to defend yourself, but hey your name is Jedi_xan lol

Rock beetles are level 13 I think they are decent. One of the womprats aswell. You will need to work to level 25 and get a greater sludge panther. Just kill trash outside a city to get to level 25 then you will have some decent selection.
