Alot of thoughts here and a bit long .

First off lets talk about 100% resist. One point I have a problem with is this . How can a creature with a 100% resist to heat take damage for a fire dot? The flamethrower does no damage on the hit cause it is 100% resistance to heat , but the fire dot works as if it didnt have any resist vs this type of damage. A fire dot = heat , is heat ect ect. A creature should not take damage from a dot that it should be immune to.

Next - and this is touchy . My veiw is , ever type of damage needs to have a counter balance some where . This includes lightsaber damage. Here are my thoughts. Now mind you ive read alot about what a lightsaber is and what it can cut threw, and what it cant . Ive also seen interviews with george lucas where he talked about what a lightsaber was what it could and could not cut threw. But im putting that aside herefor now.

Let me focus on what we take from SWG . First off we know that a lightsaber is made with cystals and pearls . And threw these it magnifies and enhances a form of light energy . Ok fair enough , here is my thought . We play in a scfi game , whichs has many alien creatures in it . That being the case it would be a good idea to introduce a creature which is made out of a crystaline form. Certainly we have seen many scifi's with creatures made from crystal some done good some done bad =) .

Since the creature's body is made from crystal it should be able to resist lightsaber damage based on the fact that if you misplace a crystal the intended way the light is magnfied would be deflected or redirected. Short end of it would be this, the light is focused from the lightsaber - when struck agaist the body of these crystaline creatures it would be unfocused and not able to do what it was intended to at first . Thus you have a resistant creature .

My thoughts are this . in the wild there could be ones of this type that would have 100% resist vs light saber. Corse dont see us players getting that . but it would not be unreasonable to see pets with 60% resistance vs light saber.

Another point to make 100% resistant to lightsaber mobs would serve yet another thing . Jedi are the end all be all of killing mobs . Thus in this case they would need some one to help them kill one . Since these creaures would not be evry-where this should not present a problem . It would just make it so a jedi may need a hand takeing some thing down for once.

Last point - dunno if the cystal snakes are really made of cystal or just nicked named that for their appearance . If they are made of crystal I would say they would be resistant to light saber.
