Hi Creature handlers,

As an Master BE I like to know what you prefer.

a. one high level pet 60+?

b. two level 35 pets?

c.three +/- level 23 pets?

and doyou ever use range attack frompets?

or maybe I should ask howdoes you ideal pet look like.

I ask this because I am a MBE at the moment and want to become MCH again. But before my switch I want tocreate a lot of nice pets. Only it is to long ago I was MCH to answer the questions myself.

Thanks.

I prefer two level 35's and no range. Otherwise the pets sometimes run trying to get range.

Depends on what im fighting.

For high end NPCs such as NS or SMCI preffer 1 pet.

For high end creatures such as krayts I preffer 2 pets.

for general fighting andsometimes PvPI preffer 3.

Although for PvP I swap out all 3 depending on the situation.

I prefer 2 pets. It can be the difference between 10K HAM and 18K, 300 damage and 600, 1 chance to land a state effect, or 2. It also allows for tanking of multiple targets. My pair of bloodseeker mites is perfect for FP farming.

For PVP 1, small level PVE 3 and everything else 2. So mainly two.

That is true your Best bet... I have trio I use most of the time while I am out there.. but I mix it up with several combos of twins.

I hardly only have one out... unless I am just checking things around my town... since I have basically no combat skills.

With the revamp of the Tefs... I now am on leave... but when I come back to combatant.. you will see me always with at least two of my best friends out to help me bring down NPCs..

FYI: My favorite 2 combo is usually 20-24 and 46-50 lvl pets....

I would say it depends on what I'm fighting. I actually prefer pets with high HAM since none of them can do much damage attacking anyway, I do most of it. All I need is for then not to go down so that I can kill the creature.

agree with ekaw and joker

also must add to something that was said up above, in general combat a ranged pet can be difficult at times, however there are many situations a ranged pet is very useful.

I used ranged pets to t5ake down the turrents in the sith camps during a village quest.

Tuskin fort, sometimes npc's andcreatures get stuck in walls, trees and rocks. a ranged pet can shake them loose much of the time.

ranged attack is also good on a lwer level pet when you have 3 pets out. for example;

1st pet = lvl 35 armor 60% kin

2nd pet = lvl 20 no armor 60% kin

3rd pet = lvl 15 no armor stats?? but has ranged attack with disease.

sending in the first pet will hold agro and do the most tanking, send in second pet a second later for backup, and then have 3rd pet fire at him from a distance hopefully hitting him with disease if possible.

this will keep the weaker pet from going down quickly.

I use ranged pets alot. and even 2 lvl 35's one with ranged is handy if you have them guarding you and something attacks the ranged pet usually hits it very quickly and takes the agro off of you.

just my 2 cents

Here's a good formula to try for hunters.

1 x level 10 mount (in my case, a BE 10K HAM w/ 60% kineticresistBantha)

2 x level 30 tanks (non-ranged)

With this setup, I should be able to attack with the tanks, clean up the mess from atop my mount (rifleman), and then send in the harvest droid to collect the resource(s) I'm after. If things get too hairy, I can hop off my mount and send him after a second (or third) target to hold it off while I waste the first two.

Depends on what I am fighting. Tough stuff is always one pet. Ranged can have its uses on a second or third pet guarding.
