Now I need a new challenge.

The Bull Rancor is next on my list and have already run 6 missions on dath with no luck. These missions pay well so at least am getting paid to hunt these formidible creatures. Here are some things so far.

Dont stand behind rancors. When they are drained of life as pet attacks they turn to run and if you are in way they slay you. I always stand to the side now.

Let lair spread out and try to take youth and reg rancor first before going after bull. The disease really rocks and if all three rancors attack at once webmaster's are drained all the way.

3 spawns per lair.

And that this is going to take awhile

i'm with ya man. as you know i have found my goals so far...screecher, deaths head, widow...now i seek the rarest tameable pet. the bull rancor.

43 lairs, 6 days, no babies

You found a deathshead Tivo, thats awsome. what are there specials?

Anyway I have run missions for 3 days and average about 6 lairs a day. No babies so far. These missions do pay well as I get 18k per mission so this will make this quest at least financially profitable.

the specials on the deaths head are strong poison and strong disease, the downfall though is that all resists are only 10%. light armor helps. i still love it cause i always wanted one.

as for my bull rancor hunt: 7 days, 52 lairs, no babies

I use my scatter now and can take down a lair in less than 30 minutes. from trade outpost I only go on missions sw s or se because I have found they are way easier then getting missions in any direction north. I am also looking for a pack leader or guardian. Two of those lairs and no babies yet.

Best of fortune to you, Milteck. I'm taking the opposite tack - I quit hunting rares deliberately, switching to going for a Screecher/Widow/Rancor lair when I run across them (non-mission lairs btw). I got my Screecher baby that way last weekend. Just me - I was getting to burnt out doing lair after lair after lair with no luck.

ya, i too quit searching. too ridiculous. i might do one every now and then. but my bull rancor hunt stopped at 53 and great plains stalker at 1...sigh

NO!!!

Ask your Master Bio Engineer, they are able to make pets which have more health, better kinetic resistance and you can choose the typ of the creature.

I prefere my Gurrcat, lvl63, kinetic 44%. It is smaller (better in dungeons) and faster(better for agro-management)
