Thanks to all who have contributed to this post. I have been enlightened in many ways and alot of good issues were brought up. It is unfortunate that I should be flamed like I have been. Reading this thread for the last several days and seeing the things people say has been a real drag. I didn't think the CH community would be so negative. I actually find it easy to solo with my pets and i make ALOT of money doing so. I LOVE to tame new pets and there is no more joy in the game. The only valid argument I can understand is how truely attached to our pets we can be. It isn't about money its about a balance. CH should still have to spend time taming and BE should still need to be able to sample. Being able to Solo in Dath while your pet tanks is truely remarkable isn't it? So how can the "circle of life" disturb game balance or nerf us? More people will ask us to tame creatures on a regular bases.

I agree the current pets would need a boost for sure in the area of PVP. Improved statistics and commands would make this idea more feasible and perhaps more welcome.

So, when I am wandering the wilds of Dathomir, and I find a baby that I judge is better than my lowest-rated pet, I delete the old pet, tame the new pet, and wait several days for the new pet to grow to maturity. Business as usual.

However, some of youseem to beimplying that if that same pet (that I deleted) had instead died a permadeath, I would be the subject of some back-breaking nerf. Because "it takes several days."

What is the difference? The mechanics of pet replacement for the two casesare exactly the same. I have a new pet in that slot and I have to wait several days for it to grow to maturity.

Sorry but this is utter rubish.

Id seriously like you to take a couple of days ( 2 at the most )

To go out and hunt and tame a bull rancor.

Were not talking several days for most pets.

In many cases were talking 2 weeks for the decent pets to grow fully.

Yes they may grow faster if you live 24/7 in the game world.

I completly agree that there should be some kind of decay more then there is on pets, for maybe anywhere between 5-10% of there abilities and to not be able to repair it anywhere near what it was with a vitality pack for example say somebody buys a graul and it gets incaped anumber of times so its vitality becomes lets say 88/100 and then they us a vitality pack then it should only go back to 90/100 vitality or less just so that there will still be some demand for pets because even trying to sell a non ch pet after the nerf made them hard to sell also because as far as it stands now i cant find a single non ch pet that can be mounted and they all suck for fightning so pretty much unless your selling pets to other creature handlers there is no demand at all and selling a pet to another creature handler the buyer of this pet is either very desperate or very slow because they can just tame that pet themselves or work up to being able to tame it themselves, i dunno maybe its just me who is having the problem with selling pets at all anymore because of how weak and worthless non ch pets are and how foolish it would be to buy a pet as a ch when u can just tame it yourself.

At this point, it does not matter "How long they should last" the question you SHOULD be asking is...

how long will this GAME last?
