I'm Cooper Starforge from Bria and personally I just left the crafting professions (slowly selling them off starting at DE and working twords Architect) for CH. I've found that it's fun in so much as trying to find the limits of what you can tame and using those creatures to help take down larger monsters than I would normally have fought. I was lucky enough to have a few friends that let me borrow a few pets (lvl 12) so that I could jump quickly into CH. Currently I only have 1/0/0/1 but soon will be adding to one of the middle skills. I don't know what changes you are all talking about because I didn't pay much attention to CH when I was working the harvesters (which I have found to be one of the least fun things I have ever done 2nd only to boot camp in the military). However I'm having fun and I'll be staying (or until I get tired of it).
Have fun

I'm returning to the game after a 7 month layoff. I have some CH skills but am fearful of climbing the ladder based on this thread. What damaging changes have been made to the CH profession that are scaring away players? Sorry for my noobness but I would appreciate some info from the more veteran members. tyvm

Kawika MacGuyver... currently Master Pike / Master CH.....been a creature handlerfor 9 months and counting...
Bohun,if what digi is saying isright, then what you are doing is wrong. But there's nothing i can do about it, and i dont feel like ramming my head against a brick wall like i did when there was a debate on this forum about the naming of rare babies.
MrsClod....with all due respect, roleplaying really isnt an excuse (for example, if he's roleplaying an abusive pet owner, then he wouldnt be out of line now would he).
Digi takes this profession very seriously and has helped keep my interest in it. Indeed this is just a game. But if you thinkover-reacting about a game is rediculous......go visit the GCW forums or anything related to it and see what kind of reactions go on there. IMO, Digi's behavior is mild compared to that.

Mal PenumbriaonAhazi, TKM/MCH with scout.
Malc Penumbrai on TC,TKM/MCH with medic.
Keeping both but will take time off before the JTL happens to us.
Keeping options open but looking at new games that should be released around the JTL time range.

I am currently CH 2211 and aiming for MCH, MRifle and Novice Medic. I just recently came back after a 6 months break, which i needed after the jedi grind, that spoiled the fun for me. I have still hope, especially in the FS quest, which will hopefully give some good benefits for the CH proffession.

CH was my first Holo,OnceI mastered it, that was the end of the Holo Grind for Me.I just can't part with my Cat's. As for it being an uneffective profession, I also have Master Rifleman, and can pretty much solo anything in the game between a good Bio Tank Cat and Rifle skills... So get another strong combat profession. There are plenty of points, I even have Master Scout, AND Medic 1/0/0/0 to boot!

well I am one of the newest MCH on Intrepid, and although the grind took a while, I totally love it! Taming all sorts of lil critters out there in the wild, just for the sake of taming them =) of course while looking for the big score It will be a while before I drop this. and if I do drop some of it, I dont think I could ever drop it all, too cool of a prof imho
