1.) PET VITALITY LOSS : originally when they put this in the idea was that weapons lose condition so since our pets are our weapons they should also lose vitality (makes sense). However since then pets have become quite different from weapons. Example I don't see anyone else having to spend hours leveling up there guns. Second weapons have anti decay-kits so you can pick one weapon and have it forever. Considering the time it takes to level a pet and the fact that there is no way to preserve even one of them I would like to see vitality loss removed.

2.) REMOVE PET TIMERS : weapons don't have them nor should we. The dayswhen this was needed in the game because CH's PVPing could pull out three rancors all of a suddenthat would destroy everything are long over.

I also 100% agree with this... Learned KD 1 from alvl 1 critterit got incaped at least 20 times never lost any vitality. Learned Intimidate 1 from a giant c spat it got incaped about 3 times an when I healed it never got any vitality loss with it.... Now I have a Festering Squill I have really been working... I have leveled it about8 times now an it just got it 1st incap an vitality dropped to 98...

Also need to fix the pet just going bye bye in the middle of battle... I have noticed this mostly happens to me when fighting in un-even terrian, like on tat where you have the the flat land an small gorges.

The BEST 3 pet names I have ever seen are.... DearSOE PleezFix DaBugz

I agree with most of if not all the thing s that is listed before my post. I know it is not game breaking but it would be nice if I could see pet resistis again. Would be nice of the cats would tear after things like they use to also.

- I support reverting to & balancing the old combat system

I only listed my top 5 several posts back but I'd like to add/replace one of them.

I'd like to see vitality loss removed, especially in PvP. Nothing else decays during PvP deaths because PvP involves dying a lot and the devs don't want to discourage it. Please remove decay (vitality loss) for our pets. My prize pets lost 8 vitality in one day of hunting Jedi marks.

  • Storage Room in Datapad
It's not enough for CH, but it should be increased for Non-CH either. No one will destroy their Varactyl, Bolotaur, Kashyyyk Bantha for a pet from a CH. Other (even better) solution: Make pets redeedable, so we can place them in houses, bank storage or sell them at the bazaar. Especially selling pets with natural abilities could be good business for CHs.

  • Attacking of lairs
After attacking a lair and commanding the pet to follow, it will automatically attack the lair next time, no matter which mob has been selected.

When a pet is hitting a lair and I command it to attack a mob which spawned, my pet will do so. But as soon as the mob is dead, my pet will run to the lair again. This shouldn't be the case.

  • Pet Trade-In
I haven't heard about a fix, so I assume it still exists: The Pet trade-in service sometimes gives outother pets than received (Give a bantha, receive a bol).

  • Pet Abilities
Review all of the new pet abilities whether or not they are working as intended.

1. Corral for CH - see post for the Corral.

2. Poison attacks need to be put back into the animals that had poison before the CU. IMO CH don't need to
have this as a learnable ability, like the area attacks that certain tamables have.

3. More tamables, especially new ones on Kashyyyk, and on the new expansion planet, Mustafar. (Hope they do Hoth soon, I want a pet Wampa)

4. More mountable pets. ie Gualamas, larger cats, Rancors, and the BIG lizards. Gungans mounted the Fambas, why can't we. I would love to ride my BE Kimogila through Theed.

5. Fix for the pets attacking lair bug.

most irritating things for me atm

1. timers timers timer timers i usually mis sout on half of every lair due to waiting for my pets to store and call aand as im working on cm to replace carbineer at the moment this means the groups down a healer while im wiating and also that my pet misses half the xp it souhld have gained

2. can't tame that bug (whne it hits me which ill admit is luckily fairly rare)

3. pet auto attacking masters evne whne told to attack pets whiel dueling (unless this fix fixed very recently as i havent tested for about a week) pet duels are fun and an interesting way to compair pets pet combat also makes for nice rp events and situations so my role in pr is significantly lessened with this problem also in pvp we cant get our pets to targt an opposing ch's pets so if were facing someone with a c rowd control pet we cant take that ept down with our own crowd control or high dam pet

4. missing specials

5. giant be'd pets, the giant versinos of wild pets used to be something special and a little different a talking point when you bumped into asnother ch, something to make your collection a bit unique now with be pets towering voer evne the ginat versions of non-be pets we've lost that, th elevisquall is jsut another bunny (im keeping mine anyway) th ginat carion spat is a shortie, mountain dewbacks, bull rancors, graul marauder, all short now, be pets are now and always ahve been far better in combat and this size vs cl change took yet another feature from the wild pet collector, m ginat pets lsot thier uniqueness as be poets now tower over them, as a wild collector all ive got left is the flyers and be's hav bene scremaing for those for years, be pets are better dam dealer,s better tanks, now evne bigger than wild, they even have skins we cant obtain in the wild i

personalyl ikd like to see be'd pet bakc to thier old caps for size larger pets get in the way in fights and the largest pet has always bene the be only kimogila why shouldn't widl pets have tiher own uniqueness enve if its just in asthetics, i personalyl resented losing this to such a degree my only be pet was released i'm sick and tired of losing ground to the be u83r 1337 pet mob i dont mind thme being more powerful crafted sohuld outdo non-crafted (i really fele sorry for shipwright right now on this btw) but non-crafted souhld offer something crafted doesnt, unique asthetics (eg pet size!) unique appearances (be have skins we cnat get wild widl has uncraftable skins so this ones balanced right now) right now i dont feel i cna support a profession thats constantly taking away the bits that make my main profession fun for me,

it seems my pets lose more uniqueness everytiem something gets added to be, and as im doing cm/ch now i won't bother with pet stims anymore either supportingth eprofession that's taking my pets uniqueness(allbeit not entirely from choice(be's did ask for size to be levle based)) feels like im betraying my pets n some way i dont know how the rest of you feel (and im sure a load of be's and 1337 ch's are gonna flame me now as they usualyl do anytime someone dares to even hint at a complaint aoubt them) but for me this is an important i know its not affecting my play as such but it is affecting my fun fomr tihs game and surly thats th emian reason to play somethings bene taken fomr me and it was something i enjoyed now its gone thers less joy in my profession for me

(*cry* I lost my whole post and have to start again!)

I want to thank everyone who posted here, it showswe care about this noble profession. I must agree with many points in these posts. I've had many of the same problems, a few not mentioned and have been lucky enough to not have experienced several. I had been a master CH prior to the CU and decided to go back to my most loved profession after wards. At times, I am most sorry I did.

As for my list, it is difficult to pick which of the problems is "worst".

I think the one that most irritates me is having to spend on average at least 1/2 hour to tame an animal that is over level 40, aggressive or not. One of my CH friends told me it took him about 3 hours to tame one creature that was (probably) level 69 or 70 and (probably) aggressive, I'm pretty sure it was on Dathomir.

In addition to this, is the fact that the higher level creatures take being taught a command 4 times for EACH command. I'm a Master CH, I should think it wouldn't take so long. I get lucky sometimes and it only takes 2 or 3 times.

Another is I have notice there are NO baby animals spawning from mission lairs.

One big one is the new floating, transparent XP numbers that dissapear before I get to see them, as well as the fact that it is no longer broken down into how much of that total was pistol, CH or medical (or whatever). Nor do I know how much combat xp I may have gained by using my pistol. I miss the information in my combat chat window.

Long before the CU a master CH could and often did pull 2 or 3 pets to fight and was rewarded with multiple XP gains. Now, if I pull two lower level pets, I get the same amount of XP as if I had only pulled one.

Others have talked about the speed of the animals in following. What about the speed of their attacks? this has slowed since the CU. I agree that pets should not be as fast as a swoop. However, a "gallop" only lasts a certain amount of time, then your pet is winded and slows way down, almost to a walk. that much has not changed since the CU (LOL)

Too little room in our data pads for pets, too much time rolling over XP so pets gain maturity, or for us to learn their special.

And what is up with pet stim pack only healing for 270 damage?????? The wonderful pet stims that I paid good money for pre CU and healed at least 1000 damage are now about worthless. And what happened to the vitality packs we used to be able to get???

One thing my husband has noticed, is that once he has targeted another person or pet hunting with us, it doesn't stay targeted if some thing attacks him, then he wastes a heal on the offending ai and not on the player or pet that needed it.

As for wishes:

(1) the ability to train certain cats as mounts. NPC on Corellia ride cats, and in the SW novels, night sisters ride Rancor.

(2) the ability to 'deed' pets and place them in my house.

(3) that our pets, as the weapon they are, gain us combat XP just as any other weapon used in the game. Heck, even the TK that does not use a weapon gathers combat xp. {I'm going to be the oldest padawan the galaxy has ever seen *sigh*}

(4) that use of a pet by a padawan/jedi not count against the XP gained. so don't give me CH xp for this, just give the animal the xp to mature.

I don't envy Ko with having to wade through all of this to find the top 5, when each problem/issue should carry the same weight, at least in the minds of us players But I do appreciate and bow to you!

What with all the taming now in order to learn pet abilities, I really, really wish we could drop pets in our houses or in our safety deposit boxes.

This was mentioned in the patch notes and therefore is working as intended. At the same time the chance of finding one or more babies in wild lairs has been increased a lot.

First things first, sorry about the double post, I really did think I'd lost the first one *blush*

Responding to Drecki: he states that the "no babies from missions lairs" is "working as intended" and the "chance of finding one or more babies in wild lairs has been increased a lot. "

In my experience, both pre cu and post cu, I havealmost always found similar numbers of babies from both "wild" and "mission" lairs.

This new wrinkle makes my guild mates happy, as they don't have to wait for me to tame a mission lair baby before we kill the critters or the lair...... However, now they wait for me between lairs to tame babies

I'm going to add one more to my list. Pets will not pass through attack a MOB.

Select Group leader, and tell the pet to attack. It doesn't do any thing. Haven't /bugged it in game, but I will.
