OK why is there no
/guardGroup- so that your pets will defend anyone in your party?
Also the pet specials. It seems to me that people think specials don't work. I know they do and know how to make them work when i want them to use them. However is the reason most people cant get them to work due to the combat command queueing of the creatures? I am assuming that creautre ai when told to go into combat randomly generate a combat queue of attacks, so when i player tell their pet special 2 it goes to the back of that queue and waits its turn. A possable fix would be to give priority to attacks commands bumping them to the front of the queue.
One last thing.
Why does your pet stand there watching as something will walk up and DB you?
Reminds me of having a big friendly dog as a watch dog. They will lick the intruders to death and show them wehre the jewlery is hidden.

It's not really my own judgement. The reason I have not presented it to the Devs is because every time the subject comes up, I see more posts against it than for it. People don't chime in to argue against things like addition pet storage, because no one wouldmind if we got it. Many people do seem to care about what would happen to the value of the Master Scoutskill if this went through, however.
Or at least, that's what I've been reading on this forum. It's not about me picking and choosing which issues I like (which seems to be the impression you have gotten). It's about me only pushing for something if it seems like the community wants it pushed for.
Vert,
You're not the Scout correspondent, and you're not the BE correspondent.
some CH's choose to be BE's too.
and some CH's choose to be Scouts too.
Naturally, ANY issue that touches on another profession is going to become "controversial" because people whose profile are not impacted by it will feel differently about the topic than others.
Any CH who has Master Scout or BE as part of their profile are speaking out of interest of their other profession.
You're representing Scout or BE concerns, not the CH's who don't have Master Scout or BE.
(If you go back and look at old threads regarding the creature knowledge issue, you'll find that all thoseopposed to it are people who are speaking from the perspective of what they think is best for ANOTHER profession, not necessarily what is best forthe CH profession)
Please stop worring about what is best for other professions.
I think that "controversial" issues are the VERY issues that the devs need to know about - we wouldn't want them to think that there is happiness and harmony in areas that are really divided.
But by NOT including controversial issues you are disenfranchising (nice florida word) all of the CH's who don't have BE or Ranger as part of their profile.
I don't think you should fail to tell the devs about an issue which is "controversial" - if anything, a response from the devs might put the issue away once and for all.
Vert. Save face with the wife, the girlfriend and your family but if you want to save face with Dev's your not gonna get their respect or ours. They will use you like a ragdoll, the same way you have let them treat us.

Like I said I think you did a great job on the list bud. I just think we are allVERYupset
about the 30 second issue. If getting more space means we have to be nerfed again I would rather just forget it. It's not worth anymore nerfs, we can't handle anymore. People are already leaving the game over the ones we have. What's next, we log in and all we can do is lay on the ground twitching and whimpering all pitiful like? LOL ... that will be our new special skills at master ... "fall down twitching 1" and "pitiful cry 1".
Really, this absolutely moronic, vindictive 30 second timer thing needs to be stopped in its tracks and put down, hard. There is absolutely no logical gameplay justification for it. If this were truly the solution to a griefing exploit, the grieifing exploit would have been discovered within days of launch, because you never needed a camp to call inside a metropolitan zone.
It's utterly bogus. There's no way to justify it except as a means of griefing players for their ability to see through the illogical rules the devs come up with.

Why would anyone need to "defend" Vertexon?
(asking Vertexon to consider something you feel strongly about is NOT the same as questioning his abilities or performance)
Nobody has to defend Vertexon - because he does a fine job.
Based on TH's list, Vertexon is a good correspondent:
- knowledgable about the profession - [NO DOUBT]
- community leader - [ABSOLUTELY]
- identify relavent issues - [this is highly subjective, but most would agree YES]
- organizing information well - [FOR SURE]
- patient - [HE IS FAR FAR MORE PATIENT WITH THE DEVS THAN ANY OF US]
- positive tone - [ALWAYS]
- understands all aspects of playing the profession - [NATURALLY]
- in touch with community concerns - [again, a subjective thing but most would say YES]
So to whom it may concern:
If you read any post byme that seems like a grumble, then you have to realize that I personallyhaveone single"pet" issue that I have btiched about since thevery first month that this game was launched last summer.
[When we went from having ANY 3 pets to having a combo that must not add up to more than 70, I have felt that getting the CL was made necessary by that change in the taming/calling system way back then.
And I will probably continue to whine and **edit** and moan about it until it gets added to the list.
But that is NOT the same thing as criticizing the job our correspondent has done.
So when you guys read me grumbling about the CL thing, don't interpret that as anything other than 1 guy lobbying for 1 change.]
(the day that I can get Vertexon to add CL to the "Top 5" list will be a joyful day for me)
But if you're looking for someone to criticize Vertexon then keep looking because I wouldn't agree withyou at all.
