Make pets better at pve/mobs etc. I think a level 70 pet should be able to do ok in most pvesituations.
Armies Of Pets:
Some content to encourage ch's to group.
Some animals have a natural herding instinct, maybe if a group contains more than 6 or so of these creatures (of the same species) they recieve some kind of additional special attack or damage resistance (like how shoals of fish and flocks of birds can confuse a predator), or group enrage ability which makes their enrage last longer, or something to make them good at pvp, that way people wouldn't think ch's were overpowerred by being great for soloing, we would haveto form a regiment of animals to get these bonuses, but they would have to be worth having

Hi Ko, and CH-CU team members
It's very difficult to say with any accuracy what I want to see form the CU because we do not yet know how
expansive the change will be. It's hard know for certin which of our issues are going to be covered in the CU and what issues are outside of that and not considered part of the CU.
I would say however that I will be very intrested to see how the balance works out. To explain further,
1 playerA vs.Wild Rancor = red con or yellow con ( assuming that CU makes it so you can not solo a red con)
1 playerA+Wild Rancor vs.Wild Rancor = White con
1 playerA+wild Rancor vs. 1 playerB = playerB loss 60%-80% of the time depending on player B skills
It's that last equation that caused the CH nerf in the first place. CH has a built in advantage of an extra combat weapon. If players can't beat the pet 1 on 1 how can they hope to defeat the pet and the CH toghter with any kind of effective results. So if it is better to have a pet then not, it turns back in to pet wars. This in my mind is one of the key problems that needs fixed. We need to be effective and useful in combat but that can't equal having a pet is ALWAYS better than not having one. I wish you luck as I think it is truley a difficult issue to sort out. We spend a good amount of skill points on this prof, in fact, in most cases I would suspect that most CH have this as an added skill to something else, that is to say most players do not fight ONLY with pets. So if you're going to spend extra skill points on adding a pet to your combat fire power it should mean something.
Good Luck, you guys have your work cut out for you.

I know this wouldn't be contributing to combat, but rather new Ch content. I know there are alot more issues that need to be addressed first but I would like to see more mounts in the game. If you want to flame go ahead but i would like creature that only CH can handle be avaliable as mounts. For example: GSP's, Rontos, Pikets, Kimo's, Crimson Razor Cat, etc. Its an idea that i think is something fun and enjoyable for a Ch to have. what do you think

At this point what I would like to see is some (&$*#@&$*@&*&$@ info on the combat Upgrade other than it is comming!!!!!!!!!!!
Well so is xmas for the 2nd time since they started this (@$&@#&(@& combat fixing stuff.
1.5 years after launch they have to completely revamp combat and almost all professions (except maybe taylor) and all you can say is "we have a plan" but we can't show you it and the only people that saw is can;t say anyting either.

I can tell you the alpha testers are getting a bit restless; most of us expected to be involved in live testing by now, and there is no hint as to when we'll get to start playing with the CURB.
I wish I could say more, but suffice it to say that the changes are not trivial by any stretch of the imagination. Combat will be very different when the CURB hits. Familar, yet strange. There's really no telling how any profession will fit in to the new system; everyone is going to have reason to be distressed, yet simultaneously excited by the changes.

I agree Talon, unfortunatly we all know the outcome to asking if not demanding answers.
Funny but when I read what you wrote above I thought SkyPreacher was back :-). You should consider my saying that a compliment for I respected him and agrred with almost everything he said. Too bad he left we could use him at times and I miss the ole Sky.

Multi-pet xp. That would help use "yet to be MCH" out a lot

Large and Small pet classifications.
I would really like to see classification for large and small pets. Large pets would not be able to enter or be called in buildings, while small pets could be called ANYWHERE (its so annoying to not be able to call pet inside a cave or building). But large pets would need some type of advantage when used outdoors (maybe special AOE attack like trample).

1.how CH compares with other Master combat profs
Are we really a combat class though. Or are we more a support class? Our CH exp does not count toward combat lines of force exp. It only counts toward sense exp, which is primarily a support line (same as scout exp and survival exp).
This would indicate to me that the developers see us as a support class, not a combat class.

We've talked about cobat vs. support so many times it makes my head spin.
There really was no final answer. Maybe CU will help to give us a final asnwer.

The final answer IS we are a combat profession. More detail on how we are supposed to fit in when the CURB documents become releasable.

Ok im by far not the best CH, i actually jsut started, but i hear all these posts and i liek the idea.
I think a better way to work it would be "provocation". You just provoce the wild animals to atack each other or run away or whatever it is. I also think that CH should be able to be a figure head type thing and lead and have a grip ont he economy. I dont know if any of you have ever played UO but i UO the tamers sold mounts, and could lead a group into battle confidently that there pets would hold the line. Now even I the novice see that a creature is my sidekick not my fellow warrior companion who fights alongside me but with me.
I love this proffesion so far and liek the idea of all the interaction and non-pure grinding or fighting aspects like other proffesion but the things like taming, locating, protecting, rasing the pets too.

Wow some nice ideas in this thread....
If what I read is true, an doc buffs are dropped an armor is dropped it will make our pets much better. Remember back a year ago or more when everyone wanted to be a CH. ? I think it was when the doc's buffs came in an chefs got to make all this uber food that our creatures more or less became useless...
In everquest when u see a "RED" mob u think 2 times before attacking it, in most cases.
Most everthing I can think of has been covered in previous posts ... I know alot of it is wishful thinking.
What I would like to see that has not been covered is some sort of 2 or 3 times a year a "state fair or flea market" a area were CH can take out many pets at one time to show them off... Maybe let CH submit pets via a holo scan, that way we are not really taking pets out... The center piece of the "state fair" would be our creatures displayed all around... IE have a hall for extinct pets Rare pets another hall for BE pets ... allow players to submit things to vendors like at the bazaar only take off the 6k limit ... ie in the extinct pet hall have a vedor that min sales would be a few mill. This idea only adds content to the game... does not in any way improved our pets... only community envolvment. Heck devs could use this to come up with some new badges... Yes during the fair crafters would be able to display there goods an sell them ... Why this idea, well as many of u know u pull out a rare pet like a Gaping Spider Queen, Widow Spider, GPS, etc an how many times does someone come up an say I have never seen that before...
Please I am not trying to be specific in this idea... I am trying to relay a IDEA.
