I have no room for just-for-fun pets, which I presume is what the devs see as the goal of our class. I have 1 open slot, for taming pets for friends, and for training pets. If they don't see us as a combat profession, why do we have to spend all our slots on fighting pets? I spend about 14k a week on stim-b's to keep my pets healed...and I have 31 points tied up in medic that I could really use elsewhere since my pets don't do much damage...

I've never known most other combat profession to carry more than 16 weapons on them at one time... that seems kind of redundant to me... but I'm not certain. Maybe 16 is a little low without the means to store them elsewhere (like at home), but I think your argument here is somewhat lacking in credibility on this one point.

maybe a pet storage device for the datapad is in order, like the backpack for the inventory. Holds X number of additional pets?

I definately think we need a building to store pets in like a coral or stable.

Without these options though...

Styphathal, I'm a Bounty Hunter, and I have been dueling commandos to see what all the fuss was about since the patch, so far I've been dropping commandos within 10 seconds, WITHOUT using my new LLC AND staying within 16m the entire time (on purpose). The new heavy weapons aren't half what people put them up to be. All I have to do is blind them, and move. They have VERY little accuracy when you're really close and moving, or when you are both moving, especially when blinded. You could do the same thing with a Pistoleer with stopping shot, it isn't just because I'm a Bounty Hunter. Regardless, the CH prereq is VERY easy to obtain, and I haven't had any problem with getting CH xp (I never exploited it either). While it is very tedious, it is also very easy. The only reason I'm not a MCH is because of skill credits-- I'm not sure if I want medic skills, CH skills, or a mix, so I'm just stalling on both until I decide.

What, exactly, do you need more than 16 slots for, if it isn't for creatures to sell? (Which is the one and only thing people have said they need more slots for)

okay here we go. different types of fighting require different pet configurations. what I use depends not only on whether or not I group, but how large the group is and what classes are a part of it. Sometimes I need 2 level 35's. sometimes I need a level 50. Sometimes I use a level 45 and a GSP. Sometimes I use 3 GSP's. It's also very nice to have back ups for all of these configurations due to the slow regen and vitality system.

Additionally, it's fun to get pets that are just cool. I like farquad the cu pa- my very first tame. Or Boo, the levia squall- my second tame. I can't bring myself to part with these 2 pets cause they have sentimental value. Plus I like to keep a couple level 14-15's for my non CH buddies that want pets. Plus non CH's tend to mess things up quite a bit and need replacements every few weeks if they use their pets often. I also like to have a spare pet (2 tops) to sell on the open market.

So between multiple pet configurations for fighting, cool pets I keep just because I like them, back ups, pets for non CH friends, and pets to sell on the market, I think it's plain to see that selling isn't the only reason (or in my case even the largest reason) that we would want more pets.

As I said before, it won't be long before they fix BE's and no one will want wild pets anyway. As it is now, BE customizations don't affect CL. So a level 15 spineflap handmaiden, made by a master BE, could have 25% more ham, hit 25% harder, and have a higher to hit chance....why would anyone want a natural one? Unless of course, they're a friend and you're giving it for free. =)

The single most fun part of CH for me is collecting all kinds of different pets. I love it when I run across a baby I've never seen before, and get the chance to tame it. It doesn't have to be droid space, or portable space. Something in a house, bank vault, just somewhere to keep extra pets would be great. I would love to be able to put together a collection, that I could show off somehow. I think the ranch-type idea would be perfect. Get an extension on my house, and people can come by and see all the pets I have. And, if they saw something they liked, they could send me an email and I could get them one.

Ive read some cool ideals, mastersCH is it really worth it, ireally havehard destroying pet ive searched for to make room for new pets like even a funny little bunny. Well i like the ideal to give us MCH abilty to cage pets on a lot or anthing really just somthing so i can store a good selection of pets just for fun to fill like a master CH. Or how about the let us store 10 lvl 40-50s,6 lvl 20-40s, and4 lvl 10-20s and 2 lvl 0-10s thats 24 totally is that really to much for 300k people paying 15$ a mounth to play this game?or somthing like that let us have selection i guess like everybody is screeming.

if mounts are counted as pets in any way shape or form for taming/training there are going to be an awful lot of disappointed people when they ask for a mount.

As a master CH i have 1 slot left open (and that hurts :/), there is no way i am deleting pets so the masses can have their mounts

I feel there should be more storage for pets becuase I like unusual pets. Not only 'uber' pets but the hard to find ones or the ones that do cool looking tricks. CH is a challenge to me, the quest to find the most unusual and fun pets but as it stands now I usually have to delete some of these to be able to have my guardians available to me. I couldn't even imagine trying to keep pets to sell to others since that would take up even more room.

4 Days ago i spent 20k on a r3 droid so that i could store more pets becouse im constantly deleting one to make room for a better one and i dony like that. so i get my droid and try to put somthing in it and BAM dosnt work so i when around looking for a fellow ch to ask him what happed to it "oh they nefed that" was his respans and i when a round screeming for 10 minuts becouse i dont need a droid for anything but storing pets so please just do somthing with this.

im not saying you perticulary have to bring back the droid storage but you should make a terminal or like a place in a house for it or even make a new farm building and you can store pets there.
