I spend SOmuch time looking for this one. When I finally found a baby (after 1½ years - including a 7 months game pause) I managed to get it killed, hehe. Found another baby 5 days later, so got happy in the end. So glad I found it a couple of months preCU, and got at least a few weeks to enjoy it. Now that rare hunting is gone the game is not the same any longer - spends all my time playing eq2 now sadly, and can't even find the strenght to spend time in SWG (I have all access). I still read the forums once in a while to see if there are any great changes, but not holding my breath. Sorry, didn't mean to drift OT, but the GPS hunt + finding it were my greatest times in the game. *looks out the window and remembers...*, well life continues I guess

GPS is indeed one of my most cherished pets as Simba has distinct brown patches where most GPS have dark burgandy skin tones. I keep up the hope that swg will come through with their ch publish and give ch a fighting chance in pvp. This month has been hard for me because have seen a lot of fellow BEAST members either quit the game or leave the guild because they no longer enjoy being a ch.
The CU is getting better everyday as publishes make the game playable now as have had some fun with my Jedi character in pvp but still have that glimmer of hope that Milteck and his pets will once again be seen on the battlefields bring Justice to the Republic

Yea. Well, I'm not quitting. Since I got All-access I can play the other game and still jump onboard anytime I want. Still a faithfullCH (I have 3 active CHs) and BEAST member andalways willbe. I even managed to salvage a couple of Tivo's pets (on Lowca) a few weeks ago that was being sold off. Just couldn't bear to see them sold to some guy that didn't understand the history of those pets and probably miss-treat them, lol.
The thing is, rare hunting was my thing. I spend 90% of my online time doing my rounds on the various planets - and I was having a blast I still remember the circumstances of every rare tame I've done in the past 1½ years - I only needed the WDB and the BR to complete the collection. I hate to sound cliche, but those nights when I found the one pet I was looking for - I went to bed all smiling and felt like I just won the lottery...

I hate to sound cliche, but those nights when I found the one pet I was looking for - I went to bed all smiling and felt like I just won the lottery... My finesthours:
1) Finding my first real rare with my first CH, Sulthon on Eclipse, an Arachne Widow, but I was in a guild that didn't understand the rare concept so I was enjoying that achivement in solitude hehe.
2) Finding my first GPS baby with my current main (Rylec on Chimaera). It aggroed one mob after the other, with me sprinting after the thing trying to kill whatever it went for, before it got killed. I remeber the shaking of my hands, trying to hit the correct hot keys, sweating, heart pounding, and the feeling of complete emptiness when it died for me.
3) Finding my second Arachne Widow. It came in the final spawn. I conceal shot the parents and went in for the tame. It aggroed me and chased me for a full 12 mins before finally loosing aggro. At the time I was poisoned, had another arachne (from a nearby lair) afterme, my bike was being 'protected ' by a squad of storm troopers, and my (buffed) HAM was down to about 1/4. I managed to tame the thing and went back to the outpost to find I only had 7-8 mins left of my buff, hehe.
4) Finding my second GPS baby. This tame was straight forward - no aggro or anything - still felt great...
5) Getting 2 Mantigrue Screechers from the same lair with my fellow CH Bummo. We were both looking for one, so this wasan awesome experience in every sense of the word... Sitting there watching the two babies taking screenshots, priceless.
I'm positive that after a few weeks (or months) of tweakingSWG½ willbe a more fun place to visit. I will still play just less frequently.
