Sadly, I won't be quitting because my bro, a CH as well, has decided that he "likes" the changes and wants to go into this "upgrade" as a BH. I'll stay on for a few weeks, but if they don't change this i'll let him pay the 15 bucks a month.
To all my fellow MCH(I've only had mine for a week) and BEAST members (BEAST Ahazi was just getting off the ground when this was announced) I offer an all encompassing bear hug. SOE, you are royally messing up. Perhaps you consider us an acceptable loss. I don't care what your logic is, it's flawed. If Creature Handler goes away, I'm out. All my accounts, cancelled, and I want the money I wasted on ToOW back. Huxley goes live in a few months, maybe an small Korean company can manage to screw up less than Sony. I've had a Creature Handler on at least one account since near launch, and I've dealt with bugs and nerfs. I patiently spent over a year as a useless profession after the first nerf. But now you threaten the only profession I've ever really enjoyed in this game? And removing Creature Handler is only the tip of the iceberg.No more player BH marks. Jedi as a noob profession. This reeks of George Lucas, the king of screwing up good things.
If Creature Handler goes, I go.

After 5 months of basically playing my game as a miner and vendorbecause the whoe CU really blew my game apart and I spent most of that fixing the crap that got messed up....I finally managed to get my hubby back in game... 3 days and he's actually coming round to the CU changes enough to actually come back permanently and then this.. well I guess that isn't gonna happen. We got his Jedi finished, got his alt started off and were actually having fun again....
I get my guildies back in game and hell even their alts .. they buy expansions and yup.. a week later.. this ....
We dropped from having 7 accounts to only 2 after the CU and were back up to 3 and seriously seeing some benefits to the CU after so long of being dissillusioned.. the CH stuff with teh extra abilities is fun.. I was having a blast..
what I don't understand is why they keep giving us great updates then a week later make the whole thing obsolete ... not just CH.. they did it with entertainers too.. upped the XP for wound healing then nerfed it all in the CU.
I dont want to be one of 9 professions.. some clone of someone else... I love having the opportunity to mix and match to find a template that suits my personal game and compliment my guildies and mates skill sets. Mastering every profession was never that important .. I didn't and still DO NOT want to be stuffed into a box where I can only go in one direction or start over if I want to try something different.
I love CH, I've been working towards my Jedi slowly and trying to enjoy the game again and the only thing I was sure of was that I wanted to retain my CH even after I got it....
All in all.... I have to say .. much as I hated the whole CU thing and I would go back to the original old ways given the chance... We've managed to work around it and it's looking good again...I'd take the CU any day over this dummed up crap thats on offer.. I cancelled last night and have just under a month left... but after losing so many of my fellow players after the CU and finally getting some of them back.. I really dont think I could honestlyconvince people to come back a second time or for new people to give it a try when SOE keep doing this... I don't want a new game every 6 months I'm not 12. I don't get bored after 2 weeks and move on.
I've been here for 2 years but I honestly think it's time to let go... and that pains me. Been through a lot in the last 2 years and SWG and my mates on here are what got me through a lot of the crap.
Please SOE stop before you kill the game completely.. you have the best game around if you'd only just stop screwing people. The Devshave done some great stuff lately .. what the hell are they doing it all for... just a distraction to keep us all in the dark..?? Squad leader is great fun ... we've had a blast with that the last 3 days ... CH is cool.. all the new abilities and stuff are great fun to hunt up .... Even tho I've spent 3 days babysitting our new Jedi cos they are pretty much.. useless and couldnt hit themselves its been great... we've finally almost got our old gang back together and we're starting to have fun.. please please please stop this SWG for dummies approach.
Not to mention how pissed off everyone is about paying through the rear for CA's and ADK's etc just to have you wipe it all.. stop moving the goal posts and play the game.. don't you realise what you have? We don't want WOW or Everquest or we'd be playing it... This game rocks.. STOP killing it.. we wont be buying the 2006 new release just because you killed the one we loved... I dont want everyone going off again just because they don't trust SOE to stop the madness.
I hate the whole idea of being forced into a box and being like everyone else.and stuck in one profession .. hell if this is your idea of fixing the lag issues it blows.. I think we'd all rather deal with the lag on Bria than have this... I know I would.

It's hard to believe the people we met at FanFest the first year could really do this and expect us to take it a second time.. even worse than the first... I thought you were bigger than that guys. If you think a good developer is one who can rip off ideas from other games think again.. you already were the best .... and are blowingit big style. Lately you've redeemed yourselves on so many levels and now this... I love you all ... even the grumpy CSR's .. but cmon... where is your pride. If the guys at the top are cluesless paper pushing bean counters will someone please hit them with a clue stick.
