My two creds:

Night before last I ran into the same problems too. I've truly grown to dread patches, and don't even log in on patch days any more. I pulled each of my critters out, and they all insisted on standing on my head. If I moved a meter away, so did they. What in gods name is up with that? I ended up standing with my head in the middle of a Rancor's crotch (probably should have taken a screenshot, but I was annoyed). Finally, I took out a couple critters that only come up to my waist so that I could see over the blasted things and went to find out how many ways I was going to get killed.

The critters were running all over creation in their fights. I ended up spending more time commanding them to kill/come/kill/come/kill/come/kill, just to keep them in firing range.

When the fight was over, the pets still stood on my head, making harvest near impossible, unless I told them to stay. Of course, once told to stay, they rooted to the spot and wouldn't come to me unless I spammed them with the command.

There is a kind of a work around, as you all know. Spend your entire time using your kill command and then your come command, and not really shoot or engage in the fight yourself. Then, use the stay command so that you can get an actual harvest. Thing is, this is only an aggravating work around to a situation that SHOULD NOT be here in the first place.

Last night, I logged in and spent my time fishing. At least I could catch some fish, which seemed more productive than trying to mess with my suddenly impossibly stupid critters.

I've not had this problem yet, maybe I'm just lucky, or my pets so stupid that it can't climb on my head.

I reckon what they have done is try to fix the "pets running away" issue. Now the pets try to stand right on whatever they are following/ attacking. Besides looking daft when it is following you, It means the target runs away when attacking an enemy.

Well done devs if this is the case. You turned an occasionally annoying bug into a proffession breaking bug.

Couldnt you have spent a little more time sorting this out? Simply changing the range from 3 to 0 and hoping is not the way to fix software issues.

Either sort it out properly or put it back to the way it used to be. If my gsp stands on top of me for much longer Im gonna go nuts!

Why am I not surprised? I'm about to fall over and die from a complete lack of surprise.

In the further trials and tribulations of this idiot who doesn't want to let the pets free: The standing bug is still annoying and the running bug is still a bug. /tellpet has become sporadic at best, which is tripply annoying because it used to work regularly for me, with only the occasional break. I've seen it being reported, so obviously people know about it. Blah, blah, blah. I don't suppose that anyone has heard word about when we have even the smallest chance of becoming less aggravated, have you?

Looks like a great time to gather milk, eggs and fish.

Yeah sometimes my pets decide to take an unscheduled break from battle which is bothersome but the standing right on top of you thing, that's infuriating. Every time I need to target something I have to do a stay or store or nudging around til it's big head is out the way, funny part is I didn't even realize this was after the patch, I just remember thinking, "hmm, was using a terminal always this annoying?"

My thoughts on CH are plain and simple. The devs are weeding out the CH profession all together. The CH profession will become obsolete with the introduction of battle droids that everyone can have from CL10 on up.

Jump on the bandwagon once the battle droids get here. Hopefully, the battle droids will have personality chips that work. Do I like it...NO! Nothing will replace the hand-stands of the Cowardly Gurreck or the silly dance of an Ancient Reptilian Flier. Face it man.....the music is playing and the rotundfemale has cantered. I am hanging up my taming spurs and moving on. You guys have a good one and good luck with cat herding the devs into doing something about all the problems CH.
