Though the cowardly gurreck and grand wrix have the same model and are same color also, the socond one is probally a forgery also because look at the lettering above the blue boxed creature the spacing isn't consistant.

I have to say i try and be open to new things but even this is a bit far fetched, i'dhave to agree it is a fake, for the reason we would be notified of new species.

I am also intrigued by the possibility of this cat.
Here is another screen I found on swgscreenshots.com, the full image of the beast in the wild posted by Saphena herself (I apologize in advance if any of you have already seen this).

Edit: It's late and I didn't notice this thread was 3 pages long (duh). As for it being a redesigned grand wrix with a higher HAM for an npc mission, I can see that happening. Bummer, though, I got riled up when I first saw it.

I find it interesting that all the screenshots so far convenently don't show the actual cat in the landscape.

this sounds more like an npc givin creature to kill... they sometimes have weird names and once they give you the spawnpoint it stays there...
its been so long since i've taken anyone with a ? over their heads i forget what its like... the fact that its near mos esiley adds argument to that fact...
i remember doing the doing the master headhunter skull quest, it also had some weird names for mobs...
also if this is a quest type mob then the only way to spawn a baby would be to run the quest over and over and see if a baby ever spawns... but i think these quests are like the sluge panther city where no baby will ever spawn...
just my 2 cents

Please allow me to put this thread to a rest. I read this thread a few days ago and was very intrigued and I vowed to keep my eye out for a Bloodstained Prowler. I just killed Mellichae and started my Padawan trials about an hour ago. My first mission - Travel to Dearic, Talus and kill a rampaging predator cat. So I get a waypoint outside Dearic and low and behold I find a Bloodstained Prowler. It spawned yellow (on the overhead map) so that explains why the screenshots we've all seen show it aggressive but yellow on the overhead map. This particular Padawan quest can spawn on any planet so that also explains why people have sighted it on Tatooine, etc.
Since it's a mission spawn I'm sure you won't be seeing any babies waiting to be tamed. I guess it's possible that they can spawn outside of the mission but it's probably like the Wild BladebackBoar which spawns only for the Hermit quests. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you rare creature hunters.

ya, i figured it was either a hoax or a quest animal. should have realized it when there is a stintaril prowler on yavin. i mean, put yourselves in the Devs seat...they looked at their list of names (hmm, prowler. ya thats one of our better ones, lets use it again) then they looked at their list of mid level decent stat pets (hmm, lets use a cat model. one thats already way over-used. how about a wrix? no, wait...a grand wrix! perfect.) and then they had to add a cool adjective (hey guys, whats agoodadjective for killer?...Therapist! Redrum! Pumba! No, no...oh, i know! remember that merek that used to be cool before we nerfed it to nothing? the bloodstaind merek! Ya, we will call it the bloodstaind prowler! Er wait, did we ever fix that spelling error? Oh well, might as well start somewhere. The Bloodstained prowler!)
