Hmm. Today I went mad. Well I was celebrating finally mastering BE to go with my CH. So whena friend invited me along on a pvp outing I decided why not try it just the once.

I can see how CH would work inPvP if you had a chance, use strategy to send in pets to help out others, use the specials judiciously, then pull the pet back fast, or use them as a tank. But in reality yes you are doomed. I hid behind a wall lol, peeked round, sent in my two pets with their specials strong disease and poison, pulled them back which worked ok I did poison my target, but then I sent them in after another guy and before I had a chance to pull them back I was in the clone centerand they were deadwith a couple of kicks, pathetic,cl 70 of pet andthey last a couple of seconds. Never again. PvE is bad enough some of my pets are losing points badly and even the vitality packs only delay the inevitable. So I think twice before taking on anything that might flatten us which rather takes away the fun of it. I want to be able to go out and take on things that are a challenge rather than doing the same old safe things time after time..

So yes I do think removing pet decay in PvP would helpenormously and while I doubt we'dlast any longer than a couple of seconds at least we wouldnt be penalised for it. Now how about doing something about PvE decay too she says hopefully, or remove the losing one point permanently when you use one. I know it's daft being fond of a bunch of pixels but I'm an animal person in rl, and as daft as it sounds you get attached to your pixellated friends.I think I should get out more lol.

Although this is a tiny, tiny step forward in making us anywhere near useful in PvP, it does please me. Nothing worse than having to pay tenfold for the devs nerfing us..by that I mean our pets suck no matter how rare or expensive, and if we try to use them in a PvP situation, they will always get massacred unless facing an unarmored, unbuffed fellow who just bought the game an hour ago and is confused when he sees people speaking Dosh..and we pay for that by having their stats decay even worse and blah, blah, blah...

I think the next step would be giving our pets some muscle. But that's probably pushing it a little too much..we wouldn't want to be happy, would we?!

I strongly urge any CH's attending SWG Fan Fest to start a, "Fix CH" riot of some sort.

There should be no decay regardless of how they die. Wookies don't decay when they die, lol. But, seriously, we don't decay therefor no living creatures should decay. It would be a lot easier for theDevs to just remove it, instead of trying toinsert codedestiguishing between pvp and pve deaths. Ifthey want, theycan make it so we have to clone our pets when we clone to avoid decay.

Either waypet decay itself is just wrong!

I think PVE decay is fine how it is.. it used to be a LOT worse. But given how limited out effectiveness is in PVP I don't think there is anything fair about losing vitality. This is just a classic example of SOE policy: "oops we made it too powerful, let's nerf it" "oops it's still too powerful, let's nerf it harder" "hmmm it's still just a bit too powerful, let's nerf again".....eons pass...... "you know, maybe we nerfed it a bit too much".......more eons pass....."okay I guess we need to beef it back up a bit"

Well why should pet decay be taken out of pvp? There will still be use deacy..the hits to the armor willl lower the armor, adn the use of the weapon will decay the weapon..if you use the pet, it should take some decay also.

pet decay=vitality loss. I wonder how many weapons you purchase that only have 100 condition? Every pet, no matter how big. only has 100 vitality points. So there's a little knowledge to re-formulate your argument.
