Thread: For Older CH.... Glory of the old days! What was your most memorable experiance as CH...?
The craziest moment taming was my hunt for a toxic merek battlelord. Another CH had told me they could be hard. That wasn't quite the description I would have given it. Finding them wasnt too bad - taming a baby was the most difficult I have ever had as my combat level wasn't mastered yet - and every battlelord was set on having a dosh breakfast - preferably well poisoned. I managed to work my way through the adults with only 2 deaths and a run back (pre-mount and vehicle days) and started on that delicious little baby.
"Don't be scared" "easy".... "Woah!!!!!!!" and I was burst running for the hills. After the 10th attempt at this, with it snapping at my ankles for what seemed miles before giving up and returning to the lair - I tamed it. Happy dance there on the hillside, and then the naming. It couldn't be called anything else but Little-Ba***rd, and I have him to this day.

When I got my gurreck. I had a lvl12 Wrix long before I even thought about going CH, saw the gurreck and I really wanted one. Used my first holocron and got CH as my first profession, my only holocron I ever did, liked ch too much to drop it. So once I got my gurreck (after days of searching) and then having my mountain dewback (20) and gurreck (50) combo, riding around on Tatooine. (sometimes up to 10km hunting low level npc'sjust because itwas so cool.)
Ahh, the days.

Having my pets work for me when I commanded them. One pet to this aggro - another pet on the other aggro - then swap them to help a group member who needed it. Ah - the good old days.
Ahh yes been so long I forgot about being able to do that.
Taming my first crimson razor cat. And then getting number two, and be able to use them at the same time.
Having saved enough money to go to Dath, to look for a rancor. The first day, nothing, running around looking and scared as a rabbit all the time. Tapping lairs was not anything I was up to do. And then, on the second day, suddenly finding a gnarled rancor baby. It took several taming attempts, all the time looking out the corner of my eye for his parents, before I tamed him. My palms were sweaty and my heart was racing, but I got him. I ran back to the shuttle to Coro as fast as I could. :-) I named him Gnaw. He was my trusty companion for a long time. Now he's a level 79 in my datapad, and I will never be able to call him again.

It's hard to say. There have been so many. The hundereds of times my pets saved me or my team (group). There is just no easy way to select. (Flips a coin) Ok 3 of them
Taming my first spider (Angler i think it was) Parents of the baby on both sides and above me as I snuck up on it. The rush of adrenien(sp) as the baby moved and I followed sure that my mask scent would break and I would die (before CU). The rush of excitement when I saw the green letters. The sigh of relief when I was far enough away from all the red dots to be able to train the little fella.
After a month of hunting for a Giant Peko Peko I had given up. Then as I was returning to town there was a baby sitting by the nest. Got him in one try.
Me and Kitten (back when they could keep up with us) doing a harvester run when there was the infamous PekoPeko Albatross ahead in the northern plains of Naboo north of Theed. I called my guild (different one) cause I knew they were searching for the feathers. They came and we commenced battle. It took over 1/2 hr to bring that beast down. I lost my speeder to it when in a dying spasm it hit my bike. My Kitten lost 2 vitality points on that kill. The other CH's also reported damage to their pets. Those vitality point losses hurt. Later I remembered to check the resistances of the Albatross and found 100% kinetic. My poor pet kitten had not even scratched the beast. But that did not stop him from trying. Thats Loyalty.
