Thread: Mounts?
Mounts require level 4 CH management.
They are creatures like dewbacks and kaudus.
If you have enough skills though you can tame a mount capable creature and get somone with managment 4 to train it to be a mount, thats what I did.![]()
2 options if you realy want a dewback one is to go find a dewback in the wild thats the proper lvl, I think lesser dewback (9) and swarming lesser dewback (15) are the only ones you can handle curently although one more box should alow the the plaind "Dewback" (19)
the other option is to find a BE to make you a dewback thats withen your lvl range. I know its possible to make a CL 10 dewback with about 4k/3k/2k ham and 9% kenetic relitivly easy and you could probably get a CL 18 one with better stats.
I think kaduu's and spats are faster mounts than the dewbacks though.
edit oh ya forgot that you would need someone else to train the mount command for you.

Does any of the mounts compare to vehicles in speed at all?
Thanks
No mounts compare to vehicles in speed.
I believe in the in-game holocron it has a list of creatures that can be trained as mounts. Let me see if I can remember them all.
Bantha, Cu Pa, Dewback, Falumpaset, Kaadu, Carrion Spat, Humbaba, Brackaset, Bol
Did I miss any?
And any variation of these that you can tame will work, i.e. Bantha, Dune Bantha, or Dewback, Mountain Dewback, Lesser Dewback. And of course BE variations of these pets.

Your eight basic mount types:
dewbacks
banthas
cu pas
kaadu
carrion spats
falumpasets (to include humbabas)
brackasets
bols
In addition, there are various subspecies of these basic types that were tamable to some extent pre CU, but now that creatures are no longer unique species, but 'angry bags', just about every skin out there which is below CL 70 is tamable. A good example: pre CU bols did not have babies at all, all full sized bols in game were BE creations. Lesser plains bols did spawn babies and are a popular non-CH mount choice.
Babies don't grow on their own anymore.
A CH has to fight the pet (only a CH can do this) to get it to grow.
Also, BE cu pas that are level 10 cannot grow large enough to accept the saddle, only a wild tame cu pa will.
It takes a CH about an hour to grind a level 10 non-CH callable pet up to full size. The cu pa will be large enough toaccept the saddle and be trained as a mountafter the seventh XP rollover. Pets earn XP just like players now, and each time they max out their XP, they are said torollover, which earns them training points to learn specials, may open up an ability slot, and will increase the physical size of the pet. Afterten rollovers, the pet is at its full adult size.
