Thread: Seems that CH isn't as unpopular as Tiggs says
Let the devs, with all their lies, Axe CH, let them take away all the pets from players, since we all know that in the movies No one had a pet at all....Ok, We got that...
not so, remember the unnamed fat guy who was the rancor keeper in jabba's palace. I want to pattern my character after that iconic character!
is 15th on astrometric and 11th on garva's! but is it not better to have two bits of evidence rather than one ![]()

While I am a master ch, i know plenty of people who dabble in ch to get a better than cl10 pet or mount. Dont say all ch are less than 1% when it is really referring to masters. More people than you think will be affected by this.
Once again, Look at GarVa's list of masteries. CH appears in rank 11 out of 37 in most mastered professions! That's even a higher rank than in the stats of most played where it is 15th. Tell me how that adds up to "less than 1%".

I'm getting my answers from the source. Sony flew myself and a dozen others to their offices to test it before they announced it. The CH issue was discussed. I'm quoting what we were told. Frankly, Iagree with them. I'm sure you guys love your CH, but in the new system it doesn't really have a major place.
Are these the same people who told me in Beta that Smuggler would be finished by launch? The same people who said Smugglers would be able to smuggle? That they would have an update "next publish" for over 2 years? That until this week said specifics about changes that did not include a complete revamp of the game?
No, I'm sorry but I don't have the luxury of living with blinders when it comes to SOE and their official possitions on anything compared to what they do. Believe the lie and obfuscation. I can't belive it's coming til they put it on the server.

That would be Malakili. You can run into him in the basement of Jabba's Palace, filthy hood and all.
Oh... wait. Is Jabba's Palace back from it's scenic tour of the Great Beyond yet...? Nevermind....

Also, while I in no way support eliminating CH or the twitch based changes, I should point out that the profession rankings tree is a relative scale. It is possible for CH to account for less than 1% of players AND be one of the higher ranked professions. All that requires is for everyone under CH to have fewer members, and for the top professions to account for virtually all the players.
Even if that is true - and I don't see why it wouldn't be - why then did they keep commando in the system using that logic? In fact, if you look at the descriptions of the NGE commando, the role is largely unchanged from what it is now.
In my opinion they could have made some sort of "Hunter" profession as a roof for all things Ranger, Scout and CH (maybe even BE) - especially after having announced the "thrilling news for CHs" and the "complete revamp of the Ranger system"...

And the fact that this new system doesn't have a place for CH is whose fault exactly?

Like I said before, if you have any ideas on how to itinigrate it in the system after you play it on TC, please let me know. I will forward it directly to Julio and the Dev team.
They aren't set out to destroy the CH prof guys.
*points up*
A Hunter profession as a roof profession could be a start...
Oh, and of course they are not set out to destroy the CH profession - they will just delete it... *smirks*
