This is a very good point.

As an MTKA, I can leave my pets in my datapad and go up to a level 80 -- pretty much ANY level 80 I want -- and solo it with my TKA skills alone (clearly, not using any CH skills, since my creature is not even out). It won't be as easy as with the creature's help of course, but it can be done, and if I am paying attention and doing things carefully (i.e. fighting one at a time so as not to get mobbed, remembering to re-activate Center of Being, doing armor break at regular intervals) not only is soloing a level 80 or even 82 mob possible, but the outcome is never in doubt. This is using only one of my two master-elite clases, TKA, at level 80, against a single foe of up to level 82. I will win such a fight, period, as long as I pay attention and don't screw up by doing somtehing stupid like forgetting to turn on Center of Being.

Now flip it around. Take out your best pet (mine is the same as the poster's... a level 66 Rhoa Kwi Guardian or something like that) and use just your CH side, ignoring your other combat class. This won't work. I tried it against level 80 swamp humbabas and level 80 sharnaffs yesterday. I made the pet "stay" and soloed the first creature in the lair. Then the 2nd one, being alone, and there being no chance of an "add" from other foes, I sent the Kwi in against a single level 80 swamp humbaba and in another lair, a single level 80 sharnaff. In BOTH cases, the Kwi did a faceplant before the enemy was at 1/2 hit points. Now you could say, "Well maybe you aren't as good at CH as you are at TKA... maybe you made mistakes as a CH." Nope... (a) I know what I am doing, and (b) there really are no mistakes to make, since pets do not have specials, so they can either attack, or... not attack. And that's about it.

So... a level 80 MTKA/MCH can use her MTKA skills and NO creature skills to solo a level 80 sharnaff... but cannot use MCH skills and NO TKA skills to do the same. It sounds to me like one class is overpowered relative to the other.

Now maybe the devs would say, "You should not be able to solo a single white con with just your TKA skills," and if that is the case, then fine... nerf TKA, BH, Carbineer, Pistoleer, and basically every other profession in the game.. because from what I can see they can ALL solo something using just 1/2 of their skills if they want. Only a CH cannot.

Hmmm, it was darth something...I am pretty sure. Man must be getting old, I should be able to remeber his name he was in about 5 forums I attended. LOL

Ok, I looked at the picture. It was the dev right in the middle, back row, almost lined up right behing Tiggs. So maybe Im not that old, I can at least remember a face. For the life of me I cant see the other dev that was at the forum though.
