Thread: Giant Peko Peko
Just last week, I sighted some giant peko pekos N of Keren. I did an examine. The /examine stated quite plainly that the giant peko peko is NOT tamable. This means no babies.
During the first month or so of release, giant peko pekos did spawn babies. But around the time of the first CH nerf in August the babies were made extinct. These of course are not great fighting pets, but were instead trophies of CH collectors.
I have a Giant Peko Peko from back in the golden years - when most everything spawned babies, spawned frequently, and spawned with armor & resists worth having. He's been DB'd once, in my quest for a Plains Hunter (also back in the old days), but he's fun to pull out for the 'whoa' reaction. "Where'd that big shadow come from...?"
I don't think they're spawning babies anymore, and haven't for some time - sorry ![]()

Now be nice and sell it to Crim. I don't like the odd looks I get when I take mine out.

I have these 3 spawns of Giant Peko Peko's that I have been messing with for 3 days. I will travel between them over and over and over and no baby. Notta. Nuthin.
I know they spawn babies, I saw one back when I was too newb to tame it. Now I can, and I cannot find them.
But I did find a CL82 dbl chevron elite Peko Peko Albatross.
It's hard for me to say "just be patient" after spending 5 hrs straight on Endor looking for the elusive Stoneskin Hanadak, (without luck, I might add!)but finding and taming the giant peko peko was cake in comparison. Make sure your spawn points are at least 550m apart. I was lucky and found a spawn of 2 adults 600m away from a second spawn of 2 adults. I flew in between them around 10 times before I saw a baby. I tamed it, then decided to go to the 2nd spawn to "try her out" on another adult, and there was a 2nd baby at the 2nd spawn point. They're out there, and much easier to find than other rare creatures. Sorry so far you've had some trouble, but keep at it! Just be sure you're going at least 550m away before you come back to ensure that the spawn is indeed resetting. Make a note of HAM values before you leave and check them when you get back to the spawn point. If they've changed, the spawn has reset correctly and you're going far enough away. Then it's just a matter of time!
