"In Austin , our Star Wars Galaxies™ team is focused on a big change to the game's combat system. The "Combat Revamp" is now live on the SWG test server, and it's getting very positive feedback from the SWG playerbase. The team is also putting the finishing touches on Star Wars Galaxies™: Episode III Rage of the Wookies™, which launches in less than a month. The SWG playerbase is very strong, and we're continuing to put a lot of effort into making Star Wars Galaxies™ even better and adding new content all the time. The latest expansion pack adds Episode III content into the universe -- something our SWG players were asking for! "
Here is the one single paragraph we recieved during the little PR article from Darth Smedley. I emphasized the part I found most humorous. Now if anyone has noticed I have reserved alot of comments lately regarding the CURB and the record the devs have at ignoring our concerns and wishes. I did this because they finally started showing some things that bordered on change. Now we get this second-hand mention in a second-hand memo with such an obviously (bovine droppings) filled comment.
Now look, I for one have had mostly good things to say about the new style (except for the fonts and icons which are moronic) and I bet I will continue to do so. The basic changes in mechanics will help the game more than hurt it. Only the lazy people who "play" the game by queueare going to be upset over it. You are actually capable of performing more actions now than before, just not the same exact one over and over. The timeout bar that determines what actions you can do when is a good idea. I like the CU except for the unneccesary graphics changes, but even if I were the only damn person in the universe to voice my opinions it would STILL be(a naughty word)to try and say "...it is getting very positive feedback...".
This is just another prime example of the ignorance these morons show towards us. They spin their(guess) lines about feedback and hope it lines their pockets. Whether it destroys the harmony of the community means nothing to them. They are not listening and even when they pretend to they are just trying to placate us all.
(please feel free to immagine a string of vile expletives to be flowing throughout this post. It was in my head.)
