Thread: How's your Datapad Performance?

The answer is.....bad.

I killed the rotation hoping that would help, but it didn't do much at all. I'm on a low end system myself, and it is often paralyzed. So much so that I have to run through cities staring at the ground and navagating by the overhead map.

Opening the datapad freezes my system EVERY TIME I DO IT. Not just the first.

I fully understand that a lot of this is due to my system, but I'd really love some way to kill the "mini-graphic" of items in datapad and inventory and replace it with a low-rez graphic that wouldn't kill my computer.

I was all set to update my system until my car died and I had to buy another.

I've noticed the lag of a few seconds as well ona p4 1.7 w/ 1G RAM and an ATI 9600xt. I believe it only started happening when I got JTL and had ships in my datapad. Assuming its a glitch for now.

I get about a 7-1 minute delay in laggy areas. Non-Laggy, on average 7 seconds, never had quicker than that.

I also have the data pad issue and it happens the first time after getting off a shuttle or starship. whenever landing in a new town or city, the first time i datapad it freezes up for like 5 or 10 seconds while each creature in it slowly becomes visible. its only happened since they patched JTL in around the 22 or 23 of october but has happened constantly ever since. it's not our machines as we've been playing on the same ones both before and after the JTL. it's something in the programming and i definitely feel for any crafters foolish enough to click the schematics part of the datapad. hehe

O and A, xm 202: party rock !!

Phased out MCH.... Theyve nerfed my entire profession. now wt.f do i do? We play online games because we enjoy the immense level of detail and diverse options and the ability to do a near-infinite number of activitites and professions. with every balance more and more of our options are stripped away and the game is slimmed down and streamlined. its currently basically a bugged console game. if i wanted to play a console SW game, i would play the KOTOR series because the knights of the old republic games are fantastic. even lego SW for my son's gamecube is more enjoyable at this point.

I haven't noticed any lag in the datapad by itself, but if I bring up my inventory and open a backpack, things start getting slow. I've got a fairly high end system (P4 3 GHz, 2GB RAM), and it's most noticeable when I'm accessing my bank safety deposit box.....I have to narrow the bank to two rows in order to transfer things to it. This happens with accessing other large storage containers, too, but the bank is by far the worse.

Sio I too have noticed this at the bank as well, and the narrowing of the bank and inventory windows does work. sometimes in high traffic areas like c-net the back backs and inventory are also effected in the same manor.
