Thread: Opinions on why the Devs did what they did with Female Narglatches??

My apologies to all the female narglatch owners out there, but I feel this should be changed immediately. Having this trio as the most effective group of creatures in the game kills off the one strong positive change they have made for us with the Combat Upgrade. I am very happy that now I can effectively use all my favorite animals in a group, as opposed to only feasibly using the armored creatures in the past. As someone else has said, if they make all creatures have the possibility of spawning as an "elite"... this would be most ideal. Then we could truly customize our hunting packs with our own preferred animals that are naturally tamed and still comparable to bio-engineered creations, without significantly disrupting their market since these animals would be very rare to find...

Tzitzimime - Creature Handler and Pikeman since the beginning.
I continue to play this game out of love for my professions.

When the "New Game Enhancements" go live, I will leave this game.
You can give it a pretty name, but it does not hide your shame...

"I mean, what is a pikeman and why is it something in the game? The only other profession we didn't absorb into one of these iconic templates is the creature handler and only 1% of our players play that character type."

Sorry - can you tell me what the one strong positive change was? I missed it. (not sarcasm - its late at night for me)

It's not really faith at all that they'll let female nargs last much longer, im just saying it's highly probable they just plain forgot about them. Their often prone to forgetting things you see, and in star wars spirit, why shouldn't the force be responsible? :/

Hmm, I like to think the force guides the devs...kinda like it did Anikan to destroy all that was once sacred and holy. Makes you really feel the dark times...

I think he means that he can now use all his pets without having to worry about using the one with the best armor and such.

Pre-CU, everyone always used their best pet. Now, every pet of the same lvl is their best pet, so they can put variety in the use of their pets.

I'm thinking they're adata point in the creature tablesthat slipped through the cracks of their level passes.

I haven't gone out to tame a triplet myselfbecause 1) I believe they will be nerfed eventually and 2) I'm jam-packed full of worthless creatures I'm too attached to, to go out and delete three to make room for narglatches that are likely to be made useless in time.

What he said.

And, I only have 2 decent pets outta my whole data pad now, all my awesome Bios were nerfed. I had some of the best Cats money could buy, and they were sooo worth it. So Now I use my GPS and my Rancor. Although I decided outta boredom to use my Kimo the other night. He was able to kill almost an entire lair of Bols on Dant. It was neat to see him useful and not run away like before. Anyways,
I think this is a math goof on the tables and will go away. Only makes sense, but then again everything with us is goofy, so who knows.

I wasn't originally planning on getting a female narglatch trio...

Then my GSP+GW trio lost 2 vp while I was just walking with them outside of combat. 96/100 and 98/100 due to a bug. I was walking to a mission on dath, and my pets and I instantly died before the spawn of NSs appeared

I was quite mad. Can't stand to see pets losing VP. I decided to retire 'em a bit and pick up some female narglatches.

The truth is health in a group doesn't seem to matter much anymore. Pets don't get attacked. Highest damage holds the agro, and highest damage is going to be much higher than a pet. I still use my other pet almost as often...nice to have a trio that isn't so large.

I just spent 2 hours looking for a female narg baby, and nothing would spawn.
Killed plenty of adult females, but saw no babies. I will look more tomorrow.
I'm just wondering if they turned the babies off on the last patch. Anyone
seen one since 17 released?

Why did they do what they did with female Nargs? Based on a consistent pattern of behavior, I can only say it was an accident or negligence, because nothing happens that deliberately affects CH one way or another, it is always just a side-effect of a change made to effect other game systems.
