Thread: Fellow Creature Handlers, what do YOU want to see out of the combat upgrade?

MCH should be one or the top PVE Professions, and in return one of the worst PVP Professions. As it stands now we are about at the bottom of the bucket in both.

My idea for upgrading MCH includes much stronger pets. Pets included would be the top tier of pets for MCH, lvl 50+ only. Medium/Heavy armor with much improved HAMS/damage output, basically much better stats than a MBE could dream of creating.

How would the Devs include pets like these that are tameable, without dooming MBEs? I would call itProgressive Growth Stages(PGS). Tameing a pet that has PGS would be 100% luck and would work like this... MCH tames Rancor (baby), this Rancor (baby)'s stats are like all Rancor's it's age. After 1 week MCH checks out the Rancor and notices it now has Medium Armor with set HAMs and @max HAMs, showing that this pet is not yet done growing. After 2 weeks of taming this Rancor MCH notices the Rancor now has Heavy Armor with stats as Dmg 650-900, HAMs of 15k and Agro level of 21. Now this could be the best a MCH could everhope for, or this Rancor could have stopped it's growth in Medium Armor range or this Rancor could have never gone past Light Armor ..... but for the MCH owning this pet he would never know the full potential of his pet until until he invested a good few weeks into the pet to see if it is a PGS pet.

Progessive Growth Stages rarity would still leave room for MBE pets, and at the same time give us MCHs something we desperately need.

I know this is more a CH revamp, but in order to have MCH go through the Combat Upgrade the pets we use will need to go along for thecombatupgraderide.

Dust-mite,

If you are saying PSG's will be luck, then I cannot see how it is giving CH anything. Already rare tames are so rare that it is easier to believe I will find the Frenzied Graul as easy not searching as I will searching. We do not need to ask for something that contains another lottery like chance in an attempt to make CH better. We need things that are specifically there, and are obtainable that will make CH better.

Ko,

For your sake and my understanding of the NDA, we understand little bidirectional feedback.

I know most people will not understand the request for CH not appearing on the blue frog. In fact, CH was not given this option early on when we got nuked. That question was vehemently vetoed. Others should not have that option now to join CH. I really do not like this option at all.

Some have suggested that this may be profession specific. A 4000 CH may want to be 2200 and could change readily. This would not bother me if a Pistoleer suddenly sees his tree tore apart like CH was and gets to redistribute his skills amongst his own tree. But I am opposed to someone suddenly saying their profession sucks and getting a free ticket to master any other profession.

I sure hope you're right about that, Pluto. I can't imagine that any profession would want someone coming in and getting their profession for "free". I have to think that they mean for the blue frog to be profession specific.Though I just plain don't like the blue frog idea at all.Seems to me the whole point of playingthe game is to play it and have funworking your way up in a profession.

I would like to see my rancor do more damage than i can do with my fancy stick with a sharp vibrating edge. It seems a reasonable request to me....

I too hate the Blue Frog idea. Unless, they let me drop TKM and go Jedi Knight. Sounds like a silly request but think about it. We are the hardest profession to grind besides Jedi. I know I am a glutton for punishment because I am MCH on three of my toons. The last was done back in August. If I spent all that work getting 3444 CH legitamately and then had some ex-FOTM Swordsman point and click their way to MCH I would be pi... upset.

I'd like Creature Handler to have some influence over mobs in the wild. Say for example you're attacking an imperial (or a rebel) base out in the wilds, and there's a pack of squills or rancors, or even something deadly like kreedles nearby, a high level creature handler should have a way of confusing and aggroing the wilds onto the NPCs. I don't know how possible this would be, but i like the idea. (It's not really a combat upgrade issue, more a CH revamp issue but what the hey)

biwan:Nhoj NamoloS (STORM)- Farstarbiwan:
Past- Master Marksman, Scout, Pistoleer
Present- Master Rifleman, Bounty Hunter and Marksman (Jedi kills so far- 1)
Future- Creature Handler again probably, was fun but useless.

I would like to see Creature Handler returned back to its original un-broken statis. I read a post from a dev that stated ch was never broken but nerfed because of all the other broken professions and swg/soe gave in to mass community cries that ch was too powerfull. That partic dev stated that "they appoligised for folding to the complaints and they should have never done it" . I ll see if i can find that long ago post. Unfortunalty i cant operate this kind of pages to cut and past to a post but ill try

*******?? Hmm all the professions I am an " Elder" in are no more. Including Jedi??*********

Controlling a herd would be great. It really makes me miss my EQ Enchanter. I miss Kiting mobs against each other. Making giants smack each other. Dragon vs Dragon. MCH needs a Temporary tame option. Where we can tame any adult CL70 an under for lets say 1 minute. Once the forced grouping starts this could be more handy than constantly calling pets.

Under the temporary tame. The tame would attack, follow, guard.

I like this hope it could be brought about.

That'd be a great idea. Something like NPC stormtroopers help out when I get into danger near them.

But would you really want to wish a pack of kreetles upon anyone?

Anyone who has kept MCH this long should be proud. Anyone who left for something easier was already rewarded. If they want to come back it should not be that easy. It should be worked for and obtained through the same blood, sweat and tears that we have had for soon to be 11 months.

This is an I WIN button for those who walked away for something easier.
