Bull banthas are level 17 not 20, and yes lesser dewies are still tamable.

Wrong Dune Banthas are 17 Bull Banthas are 20, I know I have a Bull Bantha

Tivo, FYI:
The giant carrion spat as a mount is a CL 12 pet. That's the point where you get the "stunt growth" option.
The cool thing is, it has way more HAM than any other CL 12 pet, so it makes a superior tank for its class.

Your BE list isn't complete
Kaadu
Carion Spat
Bantha
Dewback
Brackaset
Bol
All six of those can be made by a BE and can be trained mount.
