i have been not playing for a month and just started playing again yesterday. did a dev actually ever come out and say that if you do exactly what your holocron says u will become FS? no need to be nasty if this has been said but i just got back so im kind of out of it.

It is obvious that if you follow the direction given by the holocron (master the profession told to you) that is one of the steps to opening the slot.

Holocrons.

Found on vanquished FS NPC characters, Dark Troopers and certain Rebel Characters. Possible other NPC characters, however I am unaware of them.

Once you have obtained a Holocron, you can click on it to be provide with a profession on your list which needs to be master in order for it to be checked off your list.

Holocrons can only be used once, upon finding out the profession you need to master it vanishes.

Holocrons are not required, but helps to prevent you from mastering ALL the professions or a great deal more then you really need to master.

Mastering profession is only one step in the process to unlock the FS slot. Once you've mastered all the professions you are hinted to master, you may be required to complete or do other things. There are no hints currently in the game pointing to what these other things are. Holocrons only hint to which professions you need to master, nothing more, nothing less.

Hope that helps.

How do you obtain a Holocron?

a) Take your beefed up character with your pets and take down the characters mentioned above. Some people find them in no time, others have killed hundreds of them and still haven't found a holocron, its rather based on luck.

b) Go in a group and hunt the characters mentioned above. Watch out for Ninja Looters, as I hear it is rather common lately.

c) Buy one off somebody, last time I heard they were sellingfor between 1 - 16 million credits, however I'm sure you can probably get some good deals of certain players.

Hope that helps!

Do Sith Holocrons give you different information than jedi holocrons? I mean, if I had both at once and used one after the other would I get two different answers? And if so, do we need to accomplish all jedi holocrons or all sith or both..

One type to drop from Imps and one type to drop from Rebs.

There are posts to this forum where people have used one of each and they both got the same result.
