Thread: FOCUS THREAD: Untamable Creatures/Uncallable Pets
I believe that adjusting the level of control was overlooked in the CU. First let me say that I am new to CH and BE, I had a Master Doc but you know where that went so that.. So take a minute and consider this and tell me if I am way off:
Did the level of creature control increase with the CU? I don't know what it was before but I see a lot of folks with pets whose levels have been interpolated to fit the CU.
My argument:
If a player had the ability to at max control a difficulty level 60 rancor before the CU and that same Rancor is now level 180, shouldn't the players ability to control have increased to level 180 as well?
I think this is something the devs missed and need to fix.
Just a programmers perspective I guess - not that it counts to SOE

It seems CH has been destroyed by the current crop of self important developers. I spent beaucoup time energy and credits becoming a Master Bio Engineer, engineering HIGH level gurrecks with high kinetic resists as my toon had no real combatskills with MBE and MCH as my chosen profession. Now I have to destroy them and start over, trying to get something close to what I had before? I feel raped and robbed by SWG and I know their crappy policy of not responding to these posts unless you are giving them undeserved praise. One day, they will ban me, but until then, I think everyone should see what they are doing to the few loyal customers they have who have been playing since the launch. And anyone who would say I am just crying about it, realize this game in noway resembles the game I was sold on at launch now. It is like a giant bait and switch
scenario.
I'm not sure how to respond. My husband went pale and logged out last night after deleting some of his prizes in a fit. <==== Made me ill and angry but I understand we all have irrational moments. One was a BE'd pet.. his "Death Duck". I can't answer as everyone else has. I do not understand CH much at all.
The other that cause the fit was a "Tamed in the wild" Rancor he loved. I know this is just a game but he's been a MCH since beta and never dropped a box. He, as I'm sure many of you have, has been through so much. He raised these virtual babies and if I lost my "Massive Gnort" Harvy, I'd cry.
I hope this helps some. He's ranting he's gonna finally drop MCH and go BH as it's the new thing to be.. or Rifles. He's a MCH/TKM so he can fight along side of his babies. I so feel for so many of you all right now!

But pets have their own life when they have been with us a long time.Of coursethey only virtual - but that's not how the player feels about them.
Very well spoken. Thank you.
"RL and in game Wife ofa MCH since Beta"
I had several BE pets that after Pub 17 had all the new stats like state resist etc. listed as 0%
I don't trust SOE or the DEV's to ever fix this so I just deleted all my BE pets hoping that the BE's will eventually be able to make something useable by CH.
I just tamed a Kinad Biz Natch on Saturday after Pub 17 and it still shows as max CL 70 so am glad about that.

I think the pain of the committed BE must be equal to that of the committed CH - and anyone else who has had everything they worked for taken away from them. That's the bit the devs really don't get - the legacy of resentment they have created with the CURB and the way they have shafted most of the professions that aren't strictly combat. It won't be forgotten and it will continue to spill out on the forums for many months - tainting the new players who read or hear in game.

A perfect summing up of how I've been feeling about SWG of late. ![]()
I havent even logged in for over a week now & if I'm honest I've probably only been online about 3 times a week since the CU (this from a player who spent several hours a day, everyday, online since beta.)
Tell me to "get out more" by all means but it has made me very sad. I too spent a lot of time & effort in this game & for me the uniqueness of SWG was what kept me playing when all around were moving on. I had previously attempted other mog's but never liked the playing styles of say EQ for example...SWG had style of its own.....an excellent interface.... some fantastic profs....& a community like no other.
Coupled with the fact that I'm a self confessed SW geek & an old one at that
. It used to have everything.
I wasn't even going to blather on in the forums about it...but the 2 previous posts have really struck a chord with me.
Mini rant over.....& after all said & donewemust remember that its justa game... (albeit a huge part of our lives type of game.)....there are plenty of other companies that will take our subs![]()
Take care my friends.

OK - last night I did the unthinkable and finally "did" my most favourite pet as I didn't want to be without her any more. She was a level 22 Gurr, with light armour but not very good resists, which made her ideal for grinding the ch xp for FS. I got her for that reason, but fell in love with her and included her in my stories I wrote for my server forum. She was well recognised everywhere I went, and I only pulled my tougher pets out when fighting the hard mobs.
I did a happy dance when she levelled to 63 - something I was hoping and praying for. I was almost screaming with joy. Then I tried to call her.
/cry
This pet has invalid stats and can't be called. I can't believe I got her to usuable level and then I can't call her!
Ko - please tell me this is bugged and will be fixed. I need that option to restat her, or my ch life is miserable. My other pets were levelled pre-patch 17, then I had to redo them with stats.(double nerf) Why is this not working now? Why can't I call my rancor or be given the option to restat that when it hasn't been touched and I could still call it prepatch 17? So many bugs and we need them fixing.
