Thread: Level 70 wild creature(s)?
Reclusive Shear Mite babiesstill exist. You just have to keep looking for them. I have seen two over the last few weeks. One of them was before I made MCH, the other I lost when it agroed on me and the siterespawned. ![]()
Try going to theOutpost in Central Dath and head straight for the Village. Both of the ones I have seen have spawned in the mountains along that route.

Yep, I've not had any problems with that. All my pets have tamed at 100%. You know what? I think I know whats causing that problem!
I use some very high level DNA to create my pets. The combination always shells out a greatpet without having to risk going over level 70, which I think is key... no experimentation.
You see, the part that I think is getting lost upon training is the added amount from experimentation. If you use DNA which is naturally high, and don't experiment on it, you keep the stats as listed.
I suspect whats happening when you loose health at the taming iswhen the BE creates a pet which already boasts insane health and you experiment on it more. The theory is there is a ceiling that is either close to or exceeded by the high level DNA. Now if the DNA naturally exceeds the ceiling, the system wont take away points, but if you experiment further, THOSE points are considered invalid and are removed the instant you tame the pet.
You see, back in the day there were no limits to whata BE could do to a pet. Even slicers could amp up a pet! It was crazy. So they implimented a filter to check pets at the moment of Taming for valid stats. I think this filter says... "hmmm... OK, 8000 of this health is OK, but the last 1000 was added on somehow and thats too much according to the rulebook... lets remove that alteration!". Poof your pet is instantly nerfed.
Thats my best guess.

Welcome back to the CH-BE wars. Some CHs like to find their own companions, tame and raise them and adventure-hunt with them. They don't take kindly to having folks say you gotta have a BE pet - to some it's just not right. I have, I think 2 BE pets, don't want anymore - to me there is no story behind them, no thrill of the tame. I don't need my pets to complete missions, and I don't use them really rough spots, they are my loyal companions, my friends not "tools" to be used and discarded.
I've actually picked up MBE on another toon, but making pets is not my thing. I gather up some yard trash and make some non-ch mounts and that's about it.
I was doing BE and made myself some higher level pets in what should be small skins. I noticed even at 40 they were up to my chest, so I shy away from BE pets simply because I want to see what is on my screen, not the butt of a mutated razor cat. LOL I still keep a 34 vir vur, 35 squall and 40 squall in my data pad cause they are cute. and I have one BE Kaadu from way before JTLS and it's only level 1. (comes in handy with a level 69 critter)
I also have 3 of the female elite narglatches (take the coords off swgcreatures.com, they are very near there).
I was a little upset when my Baz Nitch became level 69 after the hotfixes. Simply because I wanted a small lvl 70. and it isn't a bug, it's like a chicken and the singer in Jabba's palace had children...
Just wanted to toss my 2 cents into!
I also prefer to tame a wild critter then to get a BE pet - but again - each boat rocks diferantly - more power to all of us - even if we can't agree on BE vs wild - we can all agree the devs hate us ![]()
