Thread: Tivo gets his Prize...
so listen to this guys...
after another night of work, i come home and see i have some tells. its from a friend of mine who has been helping me look for wild dune boars...he claims to have found a PACK of them (4 adults and 1 baby). at first, it didnt even get me excited because i knew he had mistaken them for desert razorbacks. so i sent him a tell saying hi, he responded saying "TIVO...i found your dune boar baby!! but it was 3 hrs ago and you were afk, and there were no CHs here on tatooine. i waited for over 3 hrs but you never came back so i had to leave." at this point i was about to hit enter with saying they couldnt have been wild dune boars because they are a single static spawn, until he said: "they were red on radar and had 11k ham and there was a baby man! normally i only ever see one but this time it was a pack of them!" still skeptical, but not willing to pass this up, i told him to meet me at the coords he sent me via mail. when we arrived, nothing. they must have despawned.
now heres the thing: you're probably all thinking that he lied, HOWEVER. lets look at why i believe he didnt lie:
- described them perfectly (11k ham, aggro)
- he was once a master CH and has been playing for quite some time
- he wants to help me get my last rare baby, doesnt even care that i have a 1 mil reward for it
- the waypoint of their location is right next door to the only other two i have seen
- he lives in Krayts End (the player city right at the mouth of the graveyard) and hunts krayts everyday
so is it possible that these actually spawn in packs?? that would be crazy! anyone else seen them in packs?

not evidence. you can check swgcreatures, as well as anyone who's looking for them would generally know this information.

irrelevant. you could be a guardian 4/4/4/4 jedi since the time holocrons came out, doesn't make you more believable in any claims that you make. doesn't prove that he's being truthful.

irrelevant. a lot of people have said that to me regarding a certain other particular animal i've been looking for(you know what it is tivo). no success yet on their part, and one false report that led to one of the common breeds. doesn't prove whether he's lying or telling the truth.

it could happen, but chances are no.
given spawn dynamics for creatures without lairs on some planets such as tatooine, that spawn would have remained until server down unless at leastone of the respawn levelswere killed. given the remote location, that's not likely to have happened. there's no way it would have despawned. worst case it would have died after the second respawn.
