I been trying / looking for a while. Always die. But have tamed a good number of regular rancors along the say.
Mask scent is just too nerfed. I always get DB'ed around Bulls.
And is it me or to young rancor's break Mask more than anything?

Being a low level CH I've been very restricted in the "rare" pets that I can actualy tame, but none the less have had great fun tracking those that I can tame down.
With the Yavin Wooly hide on my server having just gone through a good spawn I spent quite a time hunting Mamiens and spotted a number of Male Mamien Babies which are listed on the "Most Uncommon Pets" part of the list at the top, which is fair as in busting up some 100+ lairs the number I spotted was quite low.
However no where on the rare list have you got the Mamien Jungle Lord, in over 100 lairs I only came across 2 fully grown MJLs. The examine screen on them shows them as "Tamable: Yes" but I don't recall everhaving seen or heard ofa CH with a tamed example.
Is it a bug with the infomation screen? Or just one of those things that while it can spawn the odds are so low they never do spawn?

I think mamien jungle lord is a lair boss and so it has non babies

Swamp stalker, very nice. How about all you lucky ones share some waypoints. I spent three and half hour looking and only saw one show up on a track. Said north. Sprinted 100m north and did another track and it was gone 
I only had tracking 2 so i didn't get a distance on the first track. I now have tracking 3. Spent another two hours scrambling around with nothing yet to show. I'm starting to dislike that swamp.

how i found my 2 Swampstalkers:
went to keren on a trip to grab a few sets of Stun armor for PvP in a player city called "City of Wolves" just SW by WSW of Keren (past the swamp area or right on the edge of it really).
I hoped on my swoop and rode through the swamp checking out what was around... all of a sudden a swamp stalker spawned. I quickly went and killed it and the following spawns... nothing. No biggie i think ill find one eventually.
I proceed to the city buy the things i went their for and decided to try my luck in the swamp and started "force spawning" (killing everything in the area untill one spawnd)a SS. Eventually a spawn... again no babies. I proceeded to kill some more creatures that were unfortunate to be in that area and again a Spawn, first kill, second kill, third kill, i started to give up hope but crossed my fingers and the fourth spawn it hit me like a brick wall falling from the sky A BABY! 2 try the oh so lovely green letters that we all enjoy seeing.
I look at the time and what do i see 35 min till server reset... i decide to head back to the "City of Wolves" and log their and on my way what do I see another SS spawn, i didnt think id get a baby again but fortunately i was wrong! 4th spawn baby, 2nd attempt Green letters. I was the happiest person in the world at that point.
So, try this for finding some SS:
kill everything in the swamps
look close to server reset
look in the swamps SW of Keren

Cool thanks. On corbantis there is a city call An'tir sw of keren. I must be a CH at heart because the first time i went looking for SS i was ticked that they would start a town in SS's range. I'll give the old "forced spawn" a try. i can see how it could work. Thanks for the tips oniKcS

why is the piket longhorn on there? i kill BILLIONS of these things everday. they spawn every in the south of dant and are in every piket longhorn lair on the mission terminals.

I found massive gnorts near Theed last week, one in the park behind the shuttleport near the starport. I'd never seen one before.

I will never watch TV while playing again... I found my first piket longhorn baby while killing some adults and accidently hit my pet attack hot key instead of tame /bangs head against wall
Also, maybe I've just been unlucky, but I've never seen a great deal of hurton stalker babies. Not sure how rare they are for anyone else. I did see one, but I was too low to tame it at the time. Since I have reached an appropriate lvl I can't seem to find one again.

I tamed a CL 50 blurrg tonight on the way to the Wookiee party. Not rare, I don't believe, but tamed on first attempt and may keep around for a while; looks like a decent tank.

I'd say uncommon pet also is this bile drenched quenker, I'Ve found yesterday on dantooine, which was a baby, and me too low to tame it
