Can anyone tell me why a Gleaming Lantern Bird & a Cavern Creeperaint on the lists, as far as i know, these are rare,mayhaps because I never see em, im not sure. Also of note, I keep hearing the time of day is a factor in GPS hunting, is this true (Tivo?)
To date I have the following rare or almost rare or just plain rarley tamed:
Frenzied Graul (For Sale)
Prowling Gurreck
Gleaming Lantern Bird
Merek Cavern Creeper
Rhoa Kwi Guardian
Wasteland Cu-Pa
War Gronda
Sato -MCH-Ahazi

gleaming lantern birds are not rare, uncommon maybe. you have to know where to look, but if im not mistaken, they do have missions. as for the merek cavern creeper, they used to be rare and valuable about one year ago. however, today they are as common to find as banthas. lastly, when people say the time of day plays a factor in rare pet hunting (not just GPS) they are referring to (whether they know it or not) the server itself and its spawn rate. this topic is hard to understand as well as explain, alot of things come into play...and im still trying to fully understand it, so you may want to ask someone else who knows all about the computer terms for this issue

So, even though its more of a curiousity, is my graping spider hunter considered extinct?

nope, cause there is no possible way it still says "Graping spider hunter" they were all changed to "gaping" (graping was a typo of course)

I am not either, get off your high horse. I tamed mine when they still spawned as "a graping spider hunter", its been in my datapad ever since. Its stillnamed " a graping spider hunter". When examined it says its "a graping spider hunter". If anyone would like to verify this on Radiant I can show them. Geez louise that a pretty farking attitude.

Today at 2:31 PM, Central time, on Starsider, I found my first Great Plains Stalker baby -- after looking for almost a year.
Tamed it on first try by using taming clothes and food.
What a GREAT day!!!
Am now specifically looking for a Malignant Squill baby. Had the worst of luck with that a few weeks ago. Killed twoadults and the third spawn was a baby........ went up to tame it and on the third attempt it aggroed me.......... had forgotten that I still had my pet out and it ended up killing the baby before I could stop it. Haven't seen a baby since although I have killed a couple dozen more adults.

REALLY hated that the MS got away from me, specially since it looked like it was going to be an easy tame (and would have been with my pet in inventory).
Also, still regularly looking for the Bull Rancor and the Widow......... guess I finally gave up on the Frenzied after months and months of looking and killing dozens with no results............
Btw, have found the Gaping Spider Queen a pretty easy target to find............ have found a lot of them and tamed 3 over time..... could have done a lot more if there was a reason to.
