Secret BE trick: place your cursor over the health bar of the lair creatures. If none are high enough, do what people are recommending in this thread for finding babies: drive about 500m away and comeback. Usually, all of the creatures will have new stats. Go back and forth between two lairs until you get a creature with high enough health and grab some DNA samples. You never have to intentionally kill something. (Don't tell me I should be posting this in the BE forum instead of the CH forum - if I do that, it will no longer be a secret).
