I absolutely use my pets in PvP. Everyone I duel says "don't use the pets" but I just tell them hey, I'm not telling you to not use part of your characters abilities...
The trick is having the right set of pets for dueling though. CH pets, as the game exists today, can not be your sole means of attack. They are a suppliment to whatever you can do with your other skills. If you are a CH with no other combat skills, you will get creamed in PvP (but then again, you probably wouldn't be reading this post either lol).
My basic strategy is to use a three pet PvP combo of razor cats. Their specials are Knockdown / Dizzy / Blind / Stun / Str Pois / Str Disease and each has about 8k Ham. While they can't go toe to toe with others in pvp, they suppliment my TKM perfectly. If my opponent focuses on the pets, he gets to take a dirt nap very quickly. If my opponent focuses on me, I hop on speeder and let him chase me a bit while the pets pound on him.

I do not use my pets for PvP.
However, on occasion I will pull out my Huurton and watch as those pistoleers go running in circles while trying to knock her down, but that only lasts a few moments.
They die way too fast.
Before my friend dropped CH we used to have our mounts and other similar pets duel in the ditch in Anchor, but otherwise No on PvP.

CH used to own PvP.. But at first pets could be killed in pvp, then they became weak.. Watching a 9k+ HAM pet be destroyed in 2-3 hits is sickening. I use my pets in PvE.. When i am doing BH i use my pets to dizzy so when i use knockdown the target cant stand up. Other than that... pets are just a waste of data space

It could be a city structure you now like they have cantinas and theaters, they have the rancor pit lol.
I could really go for my rancor picking up some smartass l337 d00d like the rancor in ROTJ did and dropping him into his maw.
That would seriously rawk.
But, as you point out, Fahd, that will NEVER happen.
There's a reason my rancor is named Candyass.

I use pets for pvp when its 1vs1 or other small fights. In big raids they are completly useless.

one on one duels to help someone level yes...
Nothing more than that though. Pets are too underpowered...
