alright, here is my take. Puts on flame retardant suit.

I think Frenzied Grauls ARE tamable

from hosps post about chance of a baby spawn per animal:

#1 Frenzied graul -.01%

#2 Bull Rancor - .1%

#3 Merek Death's Head .5%

tie 4 & 5

Arachne widow 1%

Mantigrue screecher 1%

tie 6 & 7 & 8

Great Plains Stalker 5%

Prowling gurreck %5

Gaping Spider queen 5%

Jasten and I were chatting about the rarity of the GPS the other day, and how it is NO RARER than the prowling gurrek. (from hosp's post) The chance of spawning a baby is the absolute same as the prowling gurrek. It is just much much more difficult to fin a great plains stalker adult spawn that makes it much more challenging.

At any rate, this begs to reason that since the frenzied graul has (Hosp help me here, you posted the "chance of spawning" thread) 500 (5/.01) times LESS OF A CHANCE to spawn than the prowling gurrek and the great plains stalker that it is MUCH MUCH rarer. A frenzied graul has 100 times (10/.1) less of a chance to spawn as a bull rancor which you can run missions for ALL DAY LONG.

Now, I have seen less frenzied grauls spawn than I have seen great plains stalkers over my 1.5 yeares of searching, which in my mind makes it so unnecessarily rare, that it is almost not worth looking for.

So, the chance of EVER seeing a frenzied graul spawn is much much less than any other pet and I think trying to get it "fixed" probably is not gonna produce anything?

How much time have you all invested in SEARCHING for frenzied grauls? Not very much I would wager, based on the "how many frenzied grauls have you take down since the nerf" post from Talon (I think it wa talon)

I bet they spawn, I would put cash on it tbh.

The EXTREME rarity (500 times rarer than a great plainst stalker) coupled with the fact that noone looks for them, or hunts them makes it very likely that noone has ever tamed one because it hasn't had the chance to spawn as of yet. Do you know how hard it was to get a gaping spider queen (baby) to spawn until they upped the spawn rate recently? I have two in my dataopad now.

So here we go:

Prolwing Gurrek - pretty easy find on endor TBH, find a spawn , they pop out pretty often actually if you are looking for them.
GPS - VERY LOW chance of ADULT SPAWN makes it rarer, but in reality it has the same chance of spawning per adult.
Bull Rancor - 50 times rarer than a GPS or a Prowling Gurrek
Frenzied Graul - 500 times rarer than a GPS or Prowling Gurrek, 100 times rarer than a bull rancor (baby) that you can run missions for ALL DAY.

I NEVER saw a bull rancor on Kauri until Jasten tamed one the other day (two now, three total on the server since the spawn rate increased)

Food for thought, it isn't broken however I DO 100 % agree that they should increase the spawn rate. CRAZY. However, I do think that saying that it is extinct is a STRETCH.

yes ekaw, that is pretty much what i had stated...%of a bay spawning is not the same as % of finding one..if you went by the baby spawn %age, them there sould bwe 3x as may WDB's as GPS's tamed..i think that is not the case...if you were to kill one static spawn of FG's a day, everyday..assuming the first is not a baby..it would take over 9 years to kill 10k of them...ad we all know the odds of flipping a coin are 50/50..doesn't mean you won't get 5 heads in a row...although FG's are supposedly 10x rarer than bulls to spawn babies, bulls are much easier to find..if one were in grinding mode, it is not impossible to kill 1000 bulls in a week, you may or may not see a baby, but i can't imaginge how long it would take to kill 10k FG's, and still only be at even odds...mind you now it seems rares are becoming less exclusive, people are posting about drive by bull, screecher and widow babies,and it's becoming more frequent that bulls are being tamed in 2hr or less hunts..at least the way it is now, the frenzied is along the lines of the "exceptional" t-21 that does 1900+ damage..it exists, there is one on my server, but lottery type odds of getting it. the other rares were to be somewhat cherished, but lately it seems people are tripping over rare babies, kind of disheartening to those of us who searched extensively in the past..if everyone gets a bull in a 2hr hunts, what's the point?, there is no exclusivtivity..except for mabey the frenzied
