wow 8k damage!? The only time I ever hit that number was when I was a commando using flame single 2 on a lair.
I'm not quite sure of the tactics to fight a jedi but If he were kiting me (providing I wasnt already dead), I would have used a fast pet (or maybe even a ranged pet) that had crippling strike and dizzy attack. Again, I'm not entirely sure what kinda defenses they have and what force tricks they got up their force sleeve. (you can out the word force in front of nearly anything
)

the problem is that animals *DO NOT* benefit from the 75% pvp damage reduction in the damage they sustain. they would take full damage as though the player's jedi were an npc.
and naturally, you'll be relieved to know that your pets are doing their massive 75% pvp damage reduce hits at the same time.
so feel safe with the knowledge that while your animals do their gimped pvp damage to the jedi,the jedi will be able to do their full unadulterated damage to your pets thanks to a developer oversight in pvp mechanics.
(yes, this does apply to every other player prof besides jedi)

The stims not working on incapped pets is a bug that hits me every time the pet is incapped. No amount of activity will revive them but if you recall them right after storing them you will see all the heals applied to the pets HAM. This has affected me solely in PvE since I don't PvP but it happens with creature and NPC mobs. It startedwith the patch that was suppossed to fix the patch that introduced pet incap recovery.
Any more thats a small issue, since the patch that went in 8-25 I'm getting screen stutter and client crashes. Now my machine doesn't stutter in this game so its very unusual for me to see and the client crashes have been very uncommon in the past. Good old SOE quality assurance.

Regrettably this tactic will not work, as the current Jedi FotM (master saber/master healing/4004 enhancer) allows jedi to heal their own dizzy, much like a doc. Difference is jedi can heal their dizzy while KD/dizzy.

Why should anyone be surprised at this?
This phenomenon (full damage to pets, only a fraction of that damage dealt by pets) dates to the unbridled CH hate that spread across SWG early in the game, which had as its ultimate result the nuclear nerf of pub 5.
Besides, the devs have proved, again and again, that they are meatlumps.

My Giant Carrion Spat (Bigbird), tamed, has the same problem as you have. It doesn't matter how much you stim you pump into him, he lays dead as a door nob.When you call him,at least for me, his life leveldropped one notch.

Then the petwas actually death blowed. In this case stims won't help, unfortunately it is not consistent for the system to provide you any indication that the animal is dead instead of just incapacitated. Yet another issue with downed pets.

How do they get that many masters? Does the force tree not affect your skill points at all?
