The pets would have to be alot stronger. Make them more like what the are like in the wild. Maybe even a little better.

I would make it so that your barn or pen is the pets cloning center. The pets would act like us when it come to incaps. 3 in a row and they die. Death blowed and they die. They would auto clone at their pen or barn (even off planet).
