Cleekjc, I like your idea. Ironic enough, Droid Engineer was rumored to be called Droid Commnader long ago. It was suppose to be like a CH class. Honestly I would like to see different combat droids with different weapons. Derversity is the key to fun. I would love to be able to control an assassin droid. There is so much they can do with this game...if only!

12k HAM? Did Scylla get f'ed over or something. I have converted over deadly bio pets that cost me alot of money that where made with great dna and I reached only 6k HAM! Confuzzled...

When I get on tonight, I will take a SS of it, and show you. I was pretty impressed. He ended up with more ham than my (3rd try at)rancor, converted, believe it or not. Although he has no armour whatsoever.

My Bol that was level 34 or something close to that came out with armour almost as good as the padded my comp suit converted to.

Oh, and actually, not everything ended up 12k, though, just health. I think mind and action ended up like 8k or something.

So it may be bugged. (Get it?! Get it?! A spider, bugged? muahahaha!)

I have a level 19 BE tusk cat and he has hunted with me and my guild for hours at a time pulling creature after creature for us since the CU

This is the strength of the new ch, the ability to draw single creatures out from a pack with out all of them aggroing the group is invaluable. I find i end up leading most groups and directing combat as my creatures choose the target, lure them out and then all can pounce.

A good site for mmo fans

Thus sets off page after page of responses. Halfof which are honest and true: "You must download the trial and see for yourself." Some are "sky is falling" responses. One or two suspect some trolling and question how the OP is able to post here. And the remainder latch on to one of the questions and debate the topic until flying pigs return carrying the wayward cows.

the creatures are not correctly displaying all their features, for example armor resists etc unless they are BE, and we have no word on specials..BUT! i am seeing alot more durability in our pets now, players can't easily take them down with a few shots anymore, especially when they have to choose the pet or us, instead of both easily in a short moment. the pets health is lower aswell as all creatures but the CH profession is no where close to being removed.

of course i would extremely like our damn specials back..."sicks his spider on an unarmed civilian out of anger"

.............CH IS NOT WEAK!!!! I have tested it out in pvp a good bit and it is not weak. They brought the creatures stats down some to be more balanced with the CU......think about it. Do you realize how difficult it would be to kill a 12k health creature now? Especially in PvP. Before they brought there stats down CH was actually pretty overpowered in the CU. How do i know? Because i beat some of the best templates created on tc-ep3before they put this change in.They werent even close duels, i wiped the floor with them every time they never even took me down to half health.

More testing in PvP this morning.

1. Took out a level 50 Rancor and a newer probot (haven't tested bomb droid yet). Assaulted a Jedi in Theed. Team work is the key with Jedi. He was rated at 80...I am at 73. Took my chances. ROOTED him, Hit him with intimadate shot, got in a defensive stance, enraged my Rancor (500+ damage), and sent my probot in. Needless to say, we all went down quicker then my prom date. Rancor & probot barely did anything at all in damage! Oh well, next test.

Thisis why you are being magled. Level difference is far more important than anything

From what I have seen, since the CU has gone live, I have actually seen more people as creature handlers. For me, personally, the profession has never been about PvP. It was a compliment to my playstyle. I have always had a tendacy to venture off solo when exploring planets, and being a Creature Handler always meant I wasn't alone in my quests.

But back to point, I am seeing more people respec from other profs to CH, second only to BH. Even tho CH is not really a strict PvP profession, it is in my opinion, by far the most enjoyable and rewarding.

Welcome to the New Galactic Empire, a very hidden organization that has managed to kill far more citizens and destroy far more communities than theImperial Navycould have ever dreamed of.....

I'm a Creature Handler, Master, and have been for some time. I almost threw the towel in on the first night of Combat Upgrade but I am very happy I didn't. I had a bad experience on that first night which saw myself and my level 35 Razor cat taken out by a Perlek in under 90 seconds. I had no idea what I was doing so there's no wonder we were down for the count. Still, I managed to live and I still haven't died in the update! (Those horrid metal limbs are a very good deterrentagainst dying in my opinion).

I am now getting right into the update and as such, my pets and I fight together very well. As has been said before, the ability to pull an enemy away from the lair is a very important skill. I am now soloing Gurk lairs on Lok easily. I now hunt with my 2 greater sludgies (have a 3rd ready and growing to join the trio) and my grand wrix. Combined that is a total of possiblehits of 200ish-800ish for the 3 cat Moggie Team before I've even fired a shot. I leave them to chew on it for a few seconds, or until one of the cats is taking damage, then I hit the gurk then with a stopping shot. This get's it's attention towards me, but he can't move so the cats keep clawing. Once he gets closer I pistol whip the fella, he takes a dive, but still the cats are there chewing away. So all in all, I think we have it better than before. Ok, they don't work as tanks anymore with the hate system, but their regen rates more than make up for that. Tanking before was only any good if you had a really strong pet and plenty of stims in case it was chewed up. At least this way you can pull the cats back and let them heal. I am going to get rid of a few of my higher level BE pets now and get a few more lower levels to make up the team.

I haven't really grouped yet so can't comment on how it works in that system. I tried yesterday but there were that many players in the group, and that many wild targets i couldn't keep track of the pets. So I pulled them in and carried on with just the pistol. I'll get used to it like everything. I do wish they could be added to the main group again though as that was always handy. Also, the direction arrows and meters was handy, now that's gone. Maybe it isn't but I can't see or find any options for them. Plus I'm not keen on the grouping list anymore, takes up most of my screen now and is more or less pointless unless you are a medic. Dantooine seems very bugged at the mo. Too many critters and the mission levels drop when you get there so no XP. They're my only gripes I suppose!

So, all in all I am very much enjoying it. Also, I like my new padded Battle armour that I am able to wear freely as Master that I converted from my old Compo. Pity everyone is in blue though, eh?

I feel the same Moactan, i just have carbines instead pistols. On single pulls from cats instead rooting like with pistols i cripple(snare) followed by KD while pets chew mob.

Same strategy as you, and with a group it prevent people from taking any damage as mob is dead most of time before reaching anyone.
