When I was MTKA/MCH I used a pet from endor which spat poisons ranged to wear down a 100% kinetic resist opponent on Dathomir. (Not a nightsister but she was real tough).

I am now Master Swordsman/MCH. For Geo I have found one high level pet works better than two lower levels. I tend to take a lvl47 BE razor cat that I made months ago when I was BE, he's nothing amazing but I made him so he is special to me I think it has about 40% light kinetic armour, with a poison special. I don't 'need' to use the pet to get through the cave but when fighting the fire throwing kilkniks, being able to let him run off and negate one of their attacks for a minute or so while I focus on the nearer one can be very helpful. Amazingly I have alsoseen friendslvl10 BE 10kham 60% kinetic resist pet cope suprisingly well in there against a lot of things.

The major downside of taking pets to high level content is when things go hideously wrong you end up as a corpse looking at your pet fight valiantly until incap and then lose some of its vitality Armour I can replace pets are much harder!

Simply I love having pets. I love being able to justpull a pet out and walk anywhere. I'm a master smuggler so my combat skills are limited so I use my pets to help me out in a fight. I took CH on a lark while grinding pistol xpfor smuggler and I realy havent looked back.I'm looking forward to mastering CH.

I have only been master CH for a couple weeks now but am finding it to be so unfulfilling lately. So much time is going into hunting for these rares that I am having no luck with. I am not complaining about the odds, or my bad luck as I know many people that have spent considerably more time looking for them than me. The thing that gets me though is that I don't appear to be getting _anything_ done with my somewhat limited play time. 3 hours of searching for a bull, or a gps and no money made, no loot found, no xp gained anymore. I have taken to the awful habit of leaving my pets in the town so that I can go clear a bull lair quicker while checking for a baby. I didn't want to become the type that only uses their pets as a means to get higher level missions, but I fear that is exactly what I am becoming. Maybe I just need to break from the grind of looking for the rares and take some powerful pets out to play some.

Any inspiration is appreciated

I have stopped taming pets anymore I will when/if I find a rare of course but I buy all my pets now. But I still enjoy being a ch, I have gotten attached to my pets like I would a RL pet. I usualy use my CH char when I want to just get out and solo some mobs and lay back and take it a bit easy. I find Rifle/CH is a good combo and dont send in the pet until my conceal shot breaks. Then my gurreck makes a pretty decent tank.

I still keep MCH because I actually love being a MCH and love my pets

thanks for the inspiration guys!

I know that is one thing I can count on from everybody here

You talked me out of the slump and I think the rare hunt is just not for me. After two weeks of looking (making the miltek waypoint rounds at least 1x per day) I have never even seen a GPS---and I have tracking III.

Thanks again all!

i remain a CH because one of these days, they will make gronda juggernauts tamable. and on that day, i will tame a baby gronda juggernaut, and i will shed a tear of joy.

that, andmost ofthe old chs on sunrunner are idiots. they don't consider their animals when they leave the profession or the game. now the extinct population is dwindling, so i've taken it upon myself to get as many of them as i can collect. i started doing this after i noticed that it was too late for some of them(king/queen merek), and i didn't want it to be too late for the rest.

Greetings,

Last night, I received a tell from someone I did not know. It simply said, "Man, you have had those two professions a long time." I queried him further to find out he was an acquaintance from long ago, an MBE. He had quit for quite a while and returned just recently. I told him I still had the pet he made for me, and that it was at 100 vitality after all this time. He was shocked and amazed, but also happy.

Then my thoughts returned to this thread. Why have I remained CH for so long? At first, it was due to their protection and the novelty of it. Also, there is something exciting about using the creatures in the game to your advantage. But, I have progressed beond that now. My creature companions are just that, friends. I enjoy their company and my friends seem to as well. I like to use them and if someone else doesn't approve, I leave the group. It's funny, I still get excited when I see babies. Now that I have a full datapad, I rarely tame anymore, but i try to stop and enjoy them for a minute.

An artist friend said to me once, "I draw because I must. I am so compelled to, it is not a choice. If all else failed me in this world, I would always have the need to draw. It's not what I do, it's who I am." I guess the same could be said of me and Creature Handling.

Good Luck to All,
