Fundamentally, though, there are pets that are many times more powerful than a maxxed out player, which are available to CHs. And we have settled on a cap of "no single pet should be more powerful than a maxxed out combat player" as a good guideline.

You guys are just like the the CH from Jabba's place in the movie- Crybabies. Hell, at least that guy had a reason to cry, he couldn't just summon it back from his datapad.
And you're just like Jabba talking to Luke - an ignorant slug that hasn't got a clue about what he's talking about.
Go troll your own forums.
Gutless wonder that created a new account to troll about something he knows nothing about.
Yeah, I know I am just feeding the troll, but I have ignored so many before, I had to give in at least once ![]()
Oh, btw Loudmouth or whatever your name is, since a non-maxed out combat class can easily solo CL 50 mobs, I guess our pets actually need to made stronger. (To the real CHs out there, no I'm not actually serious, but jeez, some people)

Nergal, I agree that Master Rifleman isn't a maxed out combat class. But neither is Master CH, and it shouldn't be treated as such. You will still have a ton of skill points left over after Master CH, so why do you assume that any player should spend all 250pts to be equal to your 106 skill pts used for Master CH.
Granted, perhaps a Master CH should be more powerful than a Master Rifleman, seeing that the Rifleman has only spent 92pts to your 106. But to say your 106pts should be equal to 250 is just...silly.
" The devs said they don't want a pet being more powerful than another player, and I totally agree"
Wow .. I would LOVE for my pets to be as 'powerful' as a player ... TKA Master Gurreck anyone ? ![]()

Never said that. His claim is that no pet should be as powerful as his character. He posted a qoute from Holocron that said that they shouldnt be more powerful. It never said less powerful. This was in regards to pets and only pets. That is what the arguement was about. Remeber if you nerf the stats of CH pets to less of that of thier wild brethren then you do nothing but make a joke of those creatures. It goes back to the old example of seeing a Dewback get beat up by a wort would be a very sad sight indeed.
Now remeber a CL50 creature has a major problem that a player doest have. The creature relies on what will always be bad AI and can only be commanded by a small amount of commands. This makes the creature basically weaker than a maxed character(25threat level) because that character can think for itself and has many more options.

ATM pets are more powerful than a maxed out player char, and that's what I'm saying. The only way I can kill a player's pet is if I exploit its pathing by going inside and letting it bleed to death. If I don't, the pet will incap me every single time, making it more powerful than me, a maxed out rifleman.
A maxed out rifleman is not a maxed put player character. There are 250 pts to spend before become a maxed out character. Rifleman doesnt take all 250. Until you are a maxed out character you can not make such statements. You simpily just dont know.
Yeah, God forbid someone is more powerful then you!!!
I agree that CHs are slightly overpowered but "I want them nerfed becuase they're better then me" is the most childish and ridiculous excuse I've ever heard.
I'vebeen using a 6500 HAM pet for a couple of weeks (Giant Womp Rat).Is it more powerful then my character? No.Does it take more damage? Yes. Does it constantly amaze me with it's incredible displays of stupidity? Yes. (This is definately one area where pets and PCs are dead equal, Stupid Behavior) Does it deal out more damage then me? Sweet Bearded Jesus No.
The main problem with pets is their use in conjunction with ranged weapons. Pets simply tank too well for snipers, especially combined with the ludicrously overpowered bleed shots. Beleive me, when you're meleeing the MoBs will not stick on your pet, a character just does way too much damage for a MoB to ignore at that close a range.
Perhapsreducing pets abilities to tank would reduce their effectiveness alot.
As I'm rambling incoherently I'll just stop now.

Oh, and when those same creatures are not pets, I can kill them by using warning shot to scare them away while I use my mindshot and headshot. If they made pets able to be warned away, or lowered the HAM, it would at least make them on par with my char, and not more powerful.
So you mean to tell me you have already maxed out 250 points? If not then there is no way you should be anywhere as powerful as my Gurrek. Remeber your post you made with infor to support your claims said no pet should be MORE powerful than a MAXED OUT character. It never said weaker and again if you are not maxed out then you should be weaker. Use some logic.
Master rifleman IS a maxed out combat class. Why is it so hard for you to comprehend that?
