How do you know we CH's are getting a necklace?

As far as I know no one in Beta ever found the item that would give us the 70+ pet taming ability.

Am I missing some info. that was posted somewhere?

On the one hand, I hope it is only for MCH. I was one for a long time and only gave it up because the excitement had gone out of it. I tamed a GPS the second day I was able to. That was the only creature I was looking forward to having. I was excited once I got him, but I never used him in combat because I didnt' want any vitality loss. So he sat onmy datapad, rarely being called. My other pets only had one use, to increase my mission level. They'd sit next to the mission terminal while I ran out to do the mission. I made quite a bit of money, but they never saw any action.

If this necklace is strictly a MCH item, I'll be glad for the CH community. A single cl 70 pet isn't quite enough.

On the other hand, I still would like a BE razor cat cl 20. My cl 10 is the size of a house cat. Not very intimidating. I miss the dayswhen every player had a cowardly gurrek.

Could you please make sure that Wookiees and Ithorians will be able to wear the necklace, too, Ko-airi? Wookiees and Ithorians can not wear any other necklaces (only the Force knows why!), so there might be the same issue with this one. It would be a real shame if my Wookiee who was Creature Handler practically since launch would not be able to use the reason why I even bought the new Trials of Obi-Wan Expansion. If I can not use this special item that should finally balance us with other professions, I'm really inclined to cancel my account, since they have nerfed my Jedi to hell as well recently.

I really hope that the Devs have considered us Wookiees and Ithorians! We were screwed over way to many times already and this would even be worse than us not having any armor.

I think the poster is missing a few small um details. First of all a level 20 will have a degree of visciousness to it. This item does not give a bonus to tameing viscious. Not that a non ch even has the mod for it. Next enhancement items have one minimum requirement that requirement is that you have to have a existing mod for it. Controlling creatures is a mod you kind of need. As far as I can tell non chs do not have a max level mod. I may be wrong but I doubt it you cannot enhance a mod you do not have. Creature pets of level 10 or lower are not even quantified into the system they are considered generic.

It simply dosent jive I am sorry man you arent going to control a level 20 creature. I am not sure how the necklace is meeted out to the players but if it is a loot you can always sell it to a ch aslong as it aint biolinked or anything like that.

Not a BE pet, skin no longer has aggression tied to it - so technically, if a non-CH could gain/equip said necklace he could use a CL20 woolamander.

What are MCHs who are not CL80 going to be called? Certainly not a master of the CH profession...

I am a trandoshan and could not wear a ring.

I was worried about the hero of tatooine quest as the reward was a ring. I could wear it instantly. Likewise the ring of unity. It would appear that special items like these cross the species restrictions. Lets hope it is the same for the necklace - it must have been considered as Wookies have the innate bonus for creature handling; it would be very silly not to be able to have the additional bonuses.

Master CH will continue to be master. They are still master even if they haven't learnt all the abilities which are now on pets, or if they do not wear a necklace which enhances their abilites.

But the master CH who works towards learning all those abilities has made MORE of his/her profession. Likewise the combat CH who has put skill points into more combat will have the opportunity to gain the ability to handle "a combat master weapon" or higher level of pet, if you like. The master ch loses nothing by remaining as they are - any other ch who knows abilities can and will train your pet for you. If you like the idea of combat then it is likely you will want to go up in combat level - thereby enabling you to use the CL 80 combat enhancement.

To the best of my knowledge, the taming necklace actually requires Master Creature Handler as well as level 80. At least, that was the implication from what we were told regarding the new CL 71+ taming from beta.

I don't believe it should work for anyone other than a Master Creature Handler, that's certain, and if it does I see that as an invasion on our skillset and will work to have it changed.

We also however don't know exactly how this necklace is acquired (yet), perhaps the necklace (or method of getting it) can only be completed by a MCH similar to how the CL 65 Varactyl was acquired from ROTW.

I am however pleased that it was displayed in the Friday Feature, since it tells us exactly what we're looking for to get the skill bonus.
